The front office team were so lovely and even upgraded my room. I felt like nothing was too big of an ask!

Not 3 stars at all...

We stayed at the Toowoomba Motel and, unfortunately, felt that the standard didn’t really match the price. For what you pay, you really expect a higher standard. Although it is advertised as a three-star property, I would personally rate it closer to a two-star.
The staff were friendly, which was a positive, but reception was always closed and the door was locked. When we arrived at around 6pm, there was nobody there, so we had to phone and wait for someone to come and let us in. Thankfully, it didn’t take too long, but it was still inconvenient and not the most welcoming arrival.
The room itself had quite a few issues. The bathroom/shower door had no handle, so if you accidentally got locked inside, you’d be in real trouble. The shower head was also extremely poor it sprayed like an old garden hose, with very little pressure and no proper streams of water. It was the sort of shower you might expect in a very old caravan park, not in accommodation charging this sort of price. Shower screens were very mouldy and disgusting.
The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable, but it was quite old and spongy. There were no spare pillows or blankets in the room, so we had to ask for them. The light switches were also in very inconvenient locations.
There was a small veranda, which was a nice idea, but unfortunately it was connected directly to the neighbouring verandas. You could simply turn your head and look straight into other guests’ bedrooms, which provided very little privacy and was a bit awkward, to say the least.
Overall, we found it very expensive for what it was. At this price point, you really expect a higher standard of facilities, maintenance and service. There are simply too many things that need improvement for us to consider this a three-star property.
If choosing between this motel and the Coachman next door, I would definitely choose the Coachman again. In our experience, it offers a better standard for the money.
The staff were friendly and the bed was clean, but unfortunately those positives weren’t enough to make up for the overall condition, facilities and price.

Terrible stay

Police patrolling motel, drug deals in carport, 2 off the planet people and kids up fighting all note and moving furniture and then a man screaming from his room bringing ambulance. No apologies from owners...just told it was only 3 star. Discussing.

The shower cubical had grunge around the edges. There were stains on the front of the bedside table. I just think, whoever cleaned the place was doing a slap happy job of it. The room entry card looked dirty and obviously not wiped between clients. The bed was nicely made and towels laid out nicely. I stayed in the motel when I was a kid with my parents. I'm now 71 yo. Time for an upgrade of your bathrooms at the very least.

Check the room has been renovated. Don’t accept room 22, it was dirty, had no toilet roll holder, the toilet seat was too small for the toilet leaving you sitting on the rim, the shower had a cracked door, the mattress was beyond its use by date & there were no hangers in the wardrobe. On a positive note the brand new manger was great and transferred me to another room that had a new mattress & was cleaner
