House proud husband and wife!
Wonderful experience to stay with a traditional Vietnamese family in their home. Friendly greeting and kindly accommodates for our late check in (8/9pm).
Consideration of their hospitality, allowing use of their motorbike, was greatly appreciated. Also local knowledge was very helpful for our planning.
A high level of detail and care has been given to cleanliness, presentation and facilities such as tea/coffee, mini-fridge, bottled water, soaps and shampoos. Simular to that of a 4-5 ⛤ hotel, however, respecting it as a home environment.

Perfect homestay experience
We stayed 3 nights over new years and had one of our best ever accommodation experiences.
This was everything you could hope for in a homestay. Incredibly gracious and generous hosts made up of 3 generations...peaceful grandparents, energetic adult children (one of which had excellent english) and a cute toddler.
We were overwhelmed by the hospitality. Our breakfast was a feast with croissants, pastries, fruits,eggs, tea, yoghurt and baguettes. Another day we requested the vietnamese breakfast which was bun bo hue...beef noodle soup. It was so authentic we could have been eating on the street. We didn't manage to finish the black pudding but it was still a great meal. We also had the privilege for sharing a new years even meal with the whole family at 11:30pm..with a homemade cake to top it off!
Facilities were good. Rooms were spacious, very light and clean. The bathrooms were wet rooms and the hot water was hot and super strong.
The location was 5-10 minutes cab ride from town...about 80k vnd. We walked back from town one night...about 3.5km. The distance from town was not a problem at all and the peace and quiet of staying amongst the locals was nice.
Overall a wonderful experience and I wish this family and their homestay all the best.

Fantastic, stay here!
Stayed 3 nights at this wonderful home stay, family very kind and welcoming and go out of way to meet needs. Mrs Quyen is a delightful and gracious host. English speaking and will call her friendly daughter Ms Khoa (she intermittently stays at the home) if needed for more complex translation. We were there over New Years and they invited us to be apart of a special meal with the family.
It's about 10 minutes out of town by taxi, cost about 70-80,000vnd (the family will always call one for you) but we did not mind this and enjoyed being in the 'real' Dalat. The breakfast was amazing with bread, eggs, fruit, pastries, home made jam (wow!) and tea, whilst sitting on the patio in the sunshine with a view. New, clean, shower hot, room very spacious, extra pillows and blankets, daily bottled water, locked box. They can arrange tours or private car but we did not use this facility, but were helpful at suggesting extra places of interest to our self directed touristing.
If you are there at night time and want to eat dinner, there is a delicious minced pork sticks and rice paper roll wrap restaurant on the main road a few minutes walk away on the main road. It was bustling with locals eating and getting take away.
Would stay again if in Dalat.

Massive rooms, friendly staff
We booked online about 10 minutes before arriving, rooms were massive and clean, it's only been open for a few months, very quiet and only about a 10 minute drive into the heart of da lat which wasn't a problem for us as we have our own motorbikes. Villa du lac is family run and they are all very friendly and welcoming. When we arrived it was about 8.30pm we had been on the road for about 10 hours we're knackered and wet and even though they only have a breakfast facility she cooked us some dinner (yes it was fried egg and instant noodles, but she still brought out fruit, tea, coffee, water and vegetables) she didn't need to do that and it was very kind and thoughtful. One of our bikes also had a problem and the owners brother and mother came with us to a garage to get it sorted and translated for us which was also very kind of them. The only downfall was the bed was hard it had no give in it at all, even though we did sleep it was broken at times and had a bit of a back ache the next day. Overall a lovely place and we would definitely go back.

Perfect verblijf in Dalat
Op zoek naar iets anders kwamen we uit bij Villa du Lac buiten Dalat. Het was even zoeken, maar een prachtige locatie buiten de gebaande paden. Mooier nog was de warme en gastvrije ontvangst! Erg behulpzame familie en elke middag na een brommerrit door de prachtige omgeving stond er warme thee en fruit klaar op onze kamer. Een prachtige villa en schone kamers bij de familie thuis. Echt een aanrader! Het is wel handig ofwel eigen vervoer te hebben ofwel bij de familie een brommer te huren omdat het een eindje buiten het centrum van Dalat ligt.
