Beautiful location and excellent value for money.
Perfect location on An Hoi beach and excellent value for money. Yes, the rooms are rather dated and the building is shabby but this location at this price is amazing. Despite the rooms being basic they are very clean. Many people from other hotels are coming here to Bar 200 for good food and to lounge in bean bags on the beach under the shady palms. Sometimes the beach is completely empty but it gets busier around 5pm. The bar food is mainly Western like pizza and burger which is a shame as the Vietnamese soup was delicious. All the staff were lovely and helpful and the youngsters working in the bar work very hard. Get a sea view room and enjoy the fantastic view across the gardens.

Disappointing Stay – We Left Early
We had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately, our experience was far from positive.
The breakfast was particularly disappointing: the coffee was undrinkable, and the limited choice of three fixed plates made it difficult to accommodate dietary needs. When we mentioned allergies and declined to order, the "unavailable" option suddenly became available which left us feeling uneasy.
Staff were trying to be helpful, but no one spoke English, and the overall attitude lacked warmth or genuine hospitality. The bed was also quite uncomfortable, which made it hard to get proper rest. The overall room was rustic and quite dirty to be fair (dust in the fan, towel with marks) and the worst was the bathroom.
We had originally booked for four nights but decided to check out early and change hotels for the final two nights.
Not a place we would recommend, especially given the number of better alternatives nearby.

Affordable hotel directly on the beach
The hotel is located directly on a very nice beach and maintains a perfectly good standard (not a luxury hotel). There are rooms with a view of the beach or the garden. Own exit to the beach "like a private balcony". The staff do not speak English but are helpful. The restaurant "Rar200" is very good and has, among other things, super fine pizzas and local desserts. Good service. Simple but good breakfast of both Western and Vietnamese options.
We had a very good experience of the hotel and appreciated the coziness factor and the proximity to the beach.

Best Beach Hotel!!
We had a wonderful experience at this family-run hotel that sits directly on one of Con Dao's best beaches. If you like stumbling our of bed and onto the beach, look no further.
The place has some wear and tear, but it's homey and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous, covered in gardens, flowers, various trees and well-maintained flora. Several friendly dogs keep order, and the staff, especially Vi, is friendly, efficient and helpful. Rooms are tidied daily, towels are replaced and a hearty breakfast awaits you each morning. An on site restaurant and bar offers tasty food and drinks, though the menu is largely Western. If you want to eat like a local, it's not difficult to find some spots that have incredible dishes for around 60,000 VND. Definitely go to the seafood market outside of the Con Dao Market and select your delicacies to be cooked right in front of you. It's a mind-blowing experience. Also be sure to rent a moped at the hotel, as it is 100% advisable and hassle-free. Also, they offer free airport pick up and drop off, a major plus. In fact, as we had to leave before breakfast on our last day, they handed us sandwiches to go without us asking. They have all the boxes checked and are very much on-point here, and the prices are beyond fair.
I love this hotel and would return here immediately if I'm ever lucky enough to come back to magical Con Dao.

Budget friendly beach resort in the heart of Con Dao
The hotel is very basic. Keep in mind you are trading comfort for $300/night rooms on the beach. Basic rooms with ac, fan, mini fridge, toiletries, wardrobe & desk. Basic breakfast of VN noodles or western style granola, oatmeal or eggs/omelette- 1 choice per person. No beach chairs or hammocks on the beach, only 10-15 bean bags. Not ideal for long lazy days. On-site restaurant Bar 200 has some of the best & reasonably priced western food. I think the price of food in general on the island is quite high.
Again- you can pay double or triple the price to stay next door on the same beach with nicer rooms & a pool or stay here for a budget friendly option. We also rented scooters for 150k/day.
