Service Deserves 5 Stars
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and friendly. The receptionist was particularly helpful, taking the time to explain local attractions and arranging activities for us. She recommended and booked both the lantern boat trip and the Memories Show, which turned out to be highlights of our time in Hoi An. She also organised our transfer to Da Nang Airport at a lower price than we had been quoted through Grab, which was greatly appreciated.
The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Amenities included complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, and a minibar with chargeable items. The air conditioning worked well and, combined with the ceiling fan, kept the room at a comfortable temperature despite the heat and humidity outside.
The balcony was a nice feature, although it is shared with the neighbouring room, which does reduce privacy somewhat.
Unfortunately, there were several maintenance and housekeeping issues that affected our stay. The bathroom fixtures showed significant signs of rust, which not only looked untidy but also raised concerns about accidentally catching skin on damaged areas. The room safe was locked shut and appeared to have no power, making it unusable throughout our stay.
The shower provided hot water but only after a period of time of running, and the water pressure was extremely weak. In addition, one of the towels appeared dirty when unfolded, and we noticed marks on the bedsheets. While these issues were not enough to ruin our stay, they did leave us feeling that cleanliness and maintenance standards were below those we had experienced elsewhere during our travels in Vietnam.
On a positive note, the Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout our stay. Given that our eSIM signal occasionally struggled in Hoi An, this proved very useful.
The swimming pool was on the cold side, but with the temperatures and humidity experienced in Hoi An, it quickly became a refreshing escape rather than a problem. After a day exploring the city, jumping into cold water felt far more appealing than it sounds. Worth noting the pool IIoverlooked by five rooms, reception and the street outside.
Overall, this was an average hotel with some clear areas that need attention, particularly regarding maintenance and housekeeping. However, the staff were consistently friendly, helpful and professional throughout our stay. Their efforts, local knowledge and willingness to assist genuinely elevated the experience and are the main reason we leave with positive memories of our time here.
For us, the service deserved five stars, while the room itself was closer to three. In the end, the wonderful staff were what made this stay worthwhile.

Situated in a quiet street only a short walk from the madness of the night market and the Japanese bridge.
Staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything you need.
Rooms are big , clean, cool (and relatively cheap).
We had an amazing stay , thank you to the La A family !
