Mai Chau hidden grem
Mum and daughter were really welcoming when I arrived… the host spoke English which helped and I was served a delicious evening meal which could have feed everyone on the street….. The room was clean and had all that I needed

It's not all gold that glitters.
Positive: the peculiarity of the structure and rooms and the friendliness of Lim.
Negative: room with broken light switches with a single switch remained far from the bed and a 'single socket also far from the bed.
Two nights with rats on the roof chasing each other making a big noise and roosters that crowed uninterruptedly (that's why the earplugs available in the room).
Lim's apparent friendliness was contrasted by her true personality: Aala our request to have for breakfast only one sandwich instead of the four provided and in their place more fruit, answered our guide as follows, verbatim: "We are not an order by request restaurant.
Perhaps your guests should stay at a 5 star full service resort instead of local homestays.
We will serve what we serve for breakfast and dinner to all guests and do not accept special requests beyond vegetarian
- Translation: We are not a restaurant that serves only to order. Perhaps your guests should stay in a full-service 5-star resort instead of local families. We will serve all guests what we serve for breakfast and dinner and do not accept special requests other than vegetarian ones.
An almost offensive response that should have given directly to us, instead of sending it secretly to our guide and that brings our judgment to "POOR", when it could have been better evaluating the fact that it is still a homestay that, moreover, we chose independently.

Great rural jungle stay
A great rustic jungle retreat,
Lims food was delicious,
Help yourself to beers out or the fridge, great spot to cycle and see rural life, not much to do in the evening tho , great experience

Comfortable Vietnamese Homestay with many amenities
Approximately 3 1/2 hours from Hanoi, located in a small community very quiet, true Vietnamese culture
True Vietnamese stilted house with detached bungalows.
Nicely decorated a lot of attention spent making this a comfortable and memorable stay. Tastefully decorated with both old and new. Truly a worthwhile visit to come experience this wonderfully rustic and authentic Vietnamese place and community.
Delicious dinner offered, along basic breakfast daily with all you want coffee, teas, and filtered water for refilling your personal bottle. The host Lim was friendly and helpful.
Just wishes personal credit cards were accepted for payment at checkout. Good value for the money.

Stay here!
Lims house was great! The room was spacious and so cute! Her mom and her were amazing hosts. There is free coffee, tea, fruit, bicycles and laundry here! Her cooking is also great! Breakfast is included and changes daily and will always fill you up for the day. They also do a dinner which again changes daily and is a lot of delicious food. Can’t recommend this place enough!
