Gardener’s Cottage Netherby Hall

Great place to stay on way up north. Beautiful walled gardens and estate to enjoy. The cottage was well equipped and the team (Geoff) was hugely accommodating during our stay.

Wonderful setting with all mod cons

We stayed in one of the two bed self catering apartments in what appeared to be a converted stable. The apartment included a nice sitting area, a well equipped kitchenette, a large bathroom (with clawfoot bath and large walk in shower) and two comfortable bedrooms. It also had lovely views out onto the walled garden where they grow a lot of produce for their sister property the PentonBridge Inn. The grounds are amazing full of beautiful plants and shrubs as well as some interesting sculptures.
They also provide complimentary charging for EV's which was fantastic.

Beautiful place for a short break

We booked for 2 nights and what a stunning place!! Sean assisted with the initial booking and was there to greet us when we arrived. Geoff showed us to our spacious apartment which was beautiful. The apartment was extremely clean and well equipped. There was a basket of treats for us which was a lovely touch and also fresh milk and juice in the fridge. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We will certainly be back.

Netherby Hall is just the most beautiful location, the grounds and gardens are very special.
Our apartment had everything you could want, and of a super quality, luxury.
Prices for this outstanding stay is so very reasonable, a must to visit.

Outstanding

Wow! We booked three apartments for our family gathering - Independent, Sir Walter Scott and Grooms Quarters and all 11 of us were blown away by the standard of accommodation, the cleanliness, the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff we were in contact with. We were visiting the area for a very special 80th birthday party and our accommodation at Netherby gave the whole weekend a magical glow. As keen gardeners we all loved the walled garden and the beautiful grounds. The late check out and the welcome hampers were the icing on the cake. We all agreed it was the best self catering we have ever stayed in. Will we back? 100% we wil!
