Amazing as always!

Stayed recently as a couple, have been several times before in past and never been disappointed. Such a lovely place in a stunningly beautiful tranquil setting, grounds with lake so beautiful and restful. Room (Harlequin) downstairs very comfortable and ideal for us and our well behaved little rescue spaniel boy. Cooked breakfast lovely and huge delicious continental buffet range available I really enjoyed. Stacey very helpful and kind, thank you Stacey. We'd pre booked at a favourite local Italian restaurant we've been to before in Sandwich (Bella Amalfi), had a lovely meal. Went to the local roman ruins (last weekend of year open) so timing of our visit very important. Juliette's and Goats that Dance are great cafes . All places dog friendly.

Golf trip to Sandwich

Our group of four men (all over 40) were in the vicinity to play golf last week. We spent two nights at Goss Hall and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The proprietors, Stacy and her mother, were very welcoming and could not have been nicer throughout our visit. Goss Hall is serenely located outside of already peaceful Sandwich. The rooms were ample and well appointed, bedding quite comfortable, and bathrooms spotless. It was like staying with family. On top of that, the breakfasts were truly outstanding, with many options. On the subject of food, Stacey offered excellent recommendations for dinner in Sandwich. We were very pleased.

Another amazing experience

This is our third visit to Goss Hall this time we hired the house out for Easter.
Amazing weekend, clean house, plenty of space as we had 10 people staying.
Definitely recommend either for the B&B or to hire the house out worth every penny.
Plenty to do around here, if you want to venture out or just within the grounds of Goss Hall.
We will be back!

Kent's best kept secret.

First time at this lovely guest house. Set in beautiful countryside with landscaped gardens, terrace, amid stunning Kent countryside. The rooms are of excellent size and wonderfully decorated and appointed. All mod cons supplied in this quintessentially English styled accommodation. So quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is superb. Very warm and comfortable. Highly recommended .

disappointing !

We visited as a couple for one night for a belated Valentine. Although the setting is nice, we won't be going back as not great value for money and overall disappointing !
+ quiet location and nicely decorated
+ not overlooked
- very early breakfast, especially for a Sunday morning 8 - 9 am. We opted out so can't comment on the breakfast.
- no heating in the morning. when I asked about this the host became quite defensive and asked me "why I hadn't turned on the electric heater and surely I knew what an electric heater looks like!" I wasn't told about this electric heater and it was kept out of sight hidden in the wardrobe.
- very uneven flooring that shook the entire room and furniture. I like to be able to do a short walking workout to keep fit and this was not possible
- the bathroom is not great. Smelled damp on arrival, toiletries provided were inadequate for 2 and for 2 nights (one tiny shower gel and shampoo). the bathroom is at the other end of the corridor, is very large and gets cold; my partner couldn't work the shower and had a cold shower

First of all we would like to thank you for posting a review for us on Tripadvisor. Constructive criticisum is always very welcome as it helps us to make improvements moving forward.
What saddens us is that you have made a statement on a worldwide platform which is completely untrue.
The heating was on in the morning from 6-10am. After 10am if our guests are chilly/cold we provide electric heaters which are very simple to operate. We do not hide our heaters they are visible for all to see. Goss Hall is a Grade 11 listed building, being over 400 years old so some of the floorboards do creak, however the entire room does not shake. We are governed by conservation rules and double glazing is prohibited (something you told us we should have) When making your booking you would have been fully aware that your bathroom was not an ensuite, but accross the hall (the price of the room reflects this) The bathroom is not damp, and the toiletries provided are for one night. If guests stay for two nights everything is topped up the following day. The shower in your bathroom is brand new, and works perfectly, we cannot be responsible if you are unable to work out how to use it.
We had two other couples staying on the same night as you, and neither of these had any issues with the heating, hot water, damp or unpleasent hosts. Infact they have scored us the highest score of 10. If you had any issues why did you not come and tell us we could then have rectified them immediately.
One other point I wish to mention is that you were rude and insulting to both my partner and myself,and were not prepared to listen to what we had to say.. I think your husband was embarrassed as he didnt say a word..
We have a very sucessful business with a wonderful reputation and many, many guests who stay with us time and time again
I do hope you enjoy your next stay preferrably somewhere not old and listed..
