Perfect in the Peak District

This is a charming inn that perfectly blends old world charm with modern appointments. Gorgeous room with four poster bed, sitting area and amazing bathroom with a soaking tub and rain head shower. Clean and beautifully decorated. Even includes some books to read. Rooms has actual keys and steep stairs but accessible first floor rooms are available. Power adapters (for non UK) a must as no USB charging in room. Lovely restaurant and pub with great food and drink selection. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway. Very close to Chatsworth House.

ONLY eat here if you are a meat-eater/cheese lover and like tiny starters!

A very patchy experience: Lovely pub and garden, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. My husband's meat dish was excellent he said.
BUT our first course of trout was TINY, with far too strong a sauce with delicate fish. And my salad was DISGRACEFUL for the price: boring, minimal, overdressed with bought strong dressing.
The cheese was very good indeed: imaginative, tasty and well kept.
My advice: Only go if you are a meat eater, or extreme cheese lover. If vegan all you can eat are the veg sides.

A delightful stay

Stayed overnight - very comfortable room . Arrived early due to attending a lunch elsewhere - Andi and her colleagues were extremely helpful in providing our room to enable us to change
Popped in to the bar in the evening - the atmosphere was very pleasant and the dishes that we witnessed were well presented
The quality of the English breakfast was excellent
The staff were very friendly in all departments
We look forward to returning in early ‘27

My family and I really enjoyed staying at The Pilsley Inn. A very curated hotel in an amazing setting. The whole family loved it and is really raccomended.

The Pilsley Inn

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here.
We stayed in the Paxton which beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed - fridge kettle, hairdryer, radio, fan.
The bed was comfortable, and we slept well. The small patio area was an added bonus.
We ate dinner and breakfast both of which we enjoyed.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and professional.
Location is great with access to beautiful countryside and of course Chatsworth House.
We’d a really relaxing stay and
would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
