Very good
The check in and the breakfast staff were first class and very helpful.

Normally you know what you get with premier inn , not this time.
So what the whole country is hot. However the hotel room was 24 degrees overnight but the outside temperature was only 12. The heaters were not on but the hotel had heated up and was not cooled down the fan just moved the hotel air around.
We had paid for breakfast in advance. It was expensive and poor. The woman on duty alone was overwhelmed and kept telling guests she was trying to do everything her self and so any requests would be rejected or delayed.
Apple juice ran out and was not replenished, vegan sausage and bacon advertised were not on the buffet. The table was as sticky as the floor of a pub.
The carvary next door serves breakfast that is half the price and no doubt twice as good.
No Scottish items on the menu such as potato scone, square sausage or haggis

The room was a sweat box despite having an upgraded room with air-conditioning it was very uncomfortable the air conditioning would make random loud noises during the night. Because of this and the temperature we got very little sleep all weekend
The reception is not manned and its self service so there was no staff to raise our concerns to.
If there was staff around id hope my problems could have been resolved so I could have got a sleep.

Warm and friendly welcome.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A special mention goes to the lady who welcomed guests at breakfast each morning, she was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and started the day with a genuine smile, making breakfast a pleasant experience.
Overall, I had an enjoyable stay and would be happy to return in the future. I would recommend this hotel to both business and leisure travellers.
