This was our 2nd time staying at this property and would definitely stay again, our only issue was the room we stayed in, someone obviously smoked in and we did report and they did spray deodorizer, however the smell when you first walk in the room was still very strong. I probably should have asked for another room, but once settled don’t like to have to change, plus our room had a great view of back patio and river. The continental breakfast items need to be more extensive. Even though on menu there was no yogurt, musli or much fruit. Great cup of cappuccino! Bar service was outstanding. Dinner was very good and ate there two nights.

Room was small but clean, nice touch of chocolates on the bed and great coffee cups. Stayed in room two was great to have a bath. Downside the room was noisy, the pipes when someone above showered woke me up. You also have stairs above the room so think we got unlucky by location.

I stayed for one night , all very nice . Parking was plentyful , food in the attached pub was nice ( evening meal and breakfast ) There is a nice walk along the river Trent behind you. Only one criticism was our room was on the small side but it was okay for what we needed and I would stay there again.

Having stayed at the Riverside many times pre-Covid, we were delighted to see the changes that had been made over the last 5 years. The new decor is a vast improvement and very tasteful, in our opinion. The room we had, albeit relatively small was fine and it was nice to have the air-conditioning, as it was a very warm night. The menu was adequate with a reasonable choice; unfortunately we had to leave before trying breakfast. All the staff were lovely, especially the lady who had just started that day (Colette?). We will definitely be going back next month, when we return to Burton.
It is a testament to this new regime that the bar, terrace and restaurant were busy with all manner of people, including paddle boarders. Again a vast improvement of 5 years ago. Well done, Adam and his team. PS thanks for the chocolates on the bed.

Great room with AC which was very much needed in this heat wave. Excellent and very clean bathroom. Really tasty breakfast
