Beautiful hotel

Starting off Adam is amazing! He really looks after customers and keeps everything together fabulous manager of the building!
Side notes the hotel is beautifully clean, beautifully quiet and you could hear a pin drop!, Corey was great with local ideas and Maya was really helpful for helping me feel comfy during my stay and great local info on the phone!

Overnight stay

Hotel was clean but old and tired looking. Staff very friendly Adam very helpful. Comfy beds and soft pillows

Rundown, dirty and unacceptable to change money for!

Simple…the place needs an overhaul it’s as simple as that! You cannot expect guests even for a budget hotel to charge money for the state of the room! It also smells funny and muggy and very dark dingy rooms.

Just okay

Fine. Perhaps slightly expensive considering it is one of the older-style, tired looking Travelodges. You really have to drive into town from there as well. Right on the A road so handy for getting on with your journey, but also noisy with traffic. Petrol station, Starbucks and Gregg's right outside the front door so definitely don't pay for a Travelodge breakfast box. If you want a nice cooked breakfast in Dumfries though, try Pan's Cafe, which was lovely. Only stopped one night, breaking the journey back from the Highlands, was was fine for that purpose. Room itself was clean and comfortable and staff were nice.

Do not book to stay here

Booked for two nights. Roof leaked into the room so had to change rooms at 3am. Beds are so uncomfortable so couldnt sleep and cancelled second night to go to premier inn. The bathroom tiles had mold on them. Carpet was stained. Carpark was a mass of crators. Complained to corey who said they never spend any money on it and we will get a refund for both nights which we are still waiting for as they just offered us a free breakfast next time we book. The breakfast we paid for was a tiny box with a small bottle of water, a tiny tub of cornflakes, a small uht milk and a choc au pain so really wouldnt get again. Whole stay ruined our visit.
There are no footpaths so you need a car or use taxis and its on a busy road with a petrol station next door and a gregs on the carpark. Honestly do not book and go to premier inn round the corner which is a million times nicer
