We had a great stay, staff were amazing and the restaurant was great. Would stay here again.

Overall bad experience

Meal was terrible steak was horrible my steak sandwich was horrific couldn't eat it overpriced staff were ok but came with bill as soon as plates were lifted made us feel we were rushed out won't be back

Great place for a quiet pint either alone or with friends. The younger crowd tend to stay away.

Not told prices and charged extra for no extra food

My wife and I attended the carvery on Monday 8th December and we were horrified to be charged extra money for a dinner that was no bigger than anyone else around us on the premises. We were charged an extra £8 for a carvery, which is Unlimited amounts of food at a set price. When I contacted the hotel by email, I initially got a nice response saying it would be investigated, but that response never came until I had to contact them again. They claimed that my wife and I got two extra slices of meat each, this was completely untrue, my wife received one half slice and I received two quarter sized slices, in other words, my initial slices were for times the size. This cannot be classed as extra full sized portions. More importantly, when purchasing anything, a business is expected by law to inform a customer of all and any extra charges, plus a carvery is supposed to be unlimited amounts of food at a set price. It is also law in the UK that a customer can refuse to pay for any food in a restaurant that they are not satisfied with, all of these rules were overlooked by the servers and the management at the Ryandale Inn.
