WOW WOW WOW WONDERFUL! Fantastic place! Felt lord and ladies of the manor. Nicky our host was fantastic. You can not find a better place to have an amazing experience. We can’t wait to return to this beautiful house.

Stunning house and grounds ideal for any occasion

We stayed here for an 80th birthday family gathering. there were nearly 30 of us so we had the complete house and grounds to ourselves including the cottage and both fishermans huts,
Overwhelmed by the estate as we arrived does not do it justice, we arrived through the electric gates and as we drove down the long driveway towards the house and we felt like we were at Balmoral, the grounds are kept really lovely including the lake which is a real joy to walk round and enjoy the wildlife.
we were met by Lizzie who was so lovely and accomodating, She gave us a tour of the house and cottages and fishermans huts and left us to enjoy our weekend.
Every room in the house has its own charm and layout and they are all extremely well equipped with their own bathrooms/en-suites,
across the courtyard is the cottage/roundhouse which is fantastic and incredibly spacious, upstairs is a lovely twin room with a large en-suite bathroom although access to this is via a spiral staircase which is a little tight but great for the kids or agile adults,
another short walk across the stream takes you to the fishermans huts which are so cute and cosy, 1 of them has a double bed and the other has bunk beds, they are both next to each other and have their own enclosed garden area.
there are also lots of seating areas outside scattered around the house and grounds which all look very quaint and perfect for a summer evening with a glass of wine.
all in all we could not fault the place one bit and would not hesitate to return, despite the size of the place it was all kept so clean and tidy, Thank you so much to all the staff and owners who run this place, we had the best weekend.

Booked for our son's wedding and wished we'd stayed longer!

Stayed 2 nights from Friday in lovely accommodation and surroundings. Being there for the wedding enabled us to see how accommodating, friendly and organised Nicky and her team were. We were given the run of the house, kitchen and all facilities, it just made for a stress free run up to the wedding. We really could not have wished for a better setting or venue for this occasion! We would love to return just for ourselves sometime, just to relax, explore the area and enjoy the surroundings. I would highly recommend a stay at Muddifords, whether a week, good long weekend or even longer. Ideal for a family get together, with an array of accommodation onsite. You won't be disappointed.

Fabulous!

Stayed for one night with another couple of friends and had the most wonderful time!...thank you Nicky, you’re the perfect host and we love those gorgeous dogs of yours too! The house and grounds are stunning, you couldn’t ask for a more beautiful setting and nothing was to much trouble for Nicky to arrange. The rooms are beautifully furnished, attention to detail perfect and breakfast delicious. Thank you for making us feel so at home and comfortable...we look forward to visiting again!

We Stayed in self catering Roundhouse, amazing

My Partner and her twin sister were shown around the roundhouse, on arrival and were amazed at the accomodation , two bedrooms with ensuite, a massive kitchen to seat 10,double cookerand plenty of cupboads with quality utensils, with a separate lounge, which also had a 10 seater table and chairs,would be ideal for the small business to hold a meeting ,of course the girls were interested in the main hotel and were given a tour of the ensuite bedrooms which were superb, the cleanliness was impeccable, this is truly a 5 star accomodation
