Absolutely fabulous
We had 2 Beef dinners and a lamb dinner which was mine and it was absolutely delicious so very tender and tasty
My husband had the Ham (he’s not a Sunday lunch guy) and he said it was delicious too! I would definitely go again if in the area and would recommend anyone in the area to try it:-) thank you for lovely experience

Extremely Poor Service and Ridiculous Cakeage Policy
We had booked a table for 6 people at 6pm to celebrate our son’s second birthday. Upon arrival, my sister was told that she could not bring in his birthday cake without paying a £25 "cakeage fee". I have never heard of such a charge before, and for a small child’s birthday cake it feels particularly mean-spirited.
When my wife politely asked a waitress inside about the policy, instead of a calm explanation or any apology for the inconvenience, the member of staff was immediately defensive and rude. She reiterated the policy without empathy, then accused us of “shouting at her” (no one was raising their voice at any point) and claimed my wife was “bartering” with her (she was not). When I expressed surprise and explained it was for a two-year-old, the waitress responded by saying it was because “you won’t buy dessert” – despite having no idea what we would order – and compared it to corkage for wine. She was confrontational and made the entire family feel unwelcome and attacked.
This was possibly the worst service experience I have ever had in a pub or restaurant. The combination of an inflexible, poorly communicated policy and an unnecessarily rude member of staff completely ruined what should have been a happy family occasion.
I would strongly advise other families with young children to go elsewhere.
