Bazpackers

The sunny garden was the highlight of my stay.
I had a lovely stay at this hostel. First of all, the staff were wonderful. They allowed me to upgrade my booking from a dormitory bed to a private room, even though I made the request two days after the original booking. Upon arrival, the staff were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful.
The shared bathroom had everything I needed, including shampoo, shower gel, and a hairdryer.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the hostel’s sunny garden, which offers a beautiful view over Inverness. There are plenty of chairs and beanbags, so there is enough seating for everyone. On a sunny day, you can relax in the sun there for the entire afternoon and evening.
In addition, the location is extremely convenient. The hostel is within walking distance of the train station, bus stops, and the main tourist attractions, and it is located right next to Inverness Castle. There is no need to book an organised tour to Urquhart Castle when staying here: there is a bus stop just a six-minute walk away where the Ember bus stops and takes you directly to Urquhart castle.
One minor improvement would be the curtains in the private room next to the laundry room. They are ill-fitted and do not fully cover the window, so light comes in throughout the night.

Beautiful inn
Very good youth hostel, the rooms and beds are very comfortable with a magnificent view. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The restrooms are very luxurious. A very lovely garden with very cozy common areas.
I really enjoyed the place, a 2-night stay.

Best Hostel I have been to, Second place is not even close
Absolutely brilliant amenities, beds for comfy, great location, friendly staff and absolutely luxurious showers.
We came for myself and a friends birthday and we will absolutely be coming back here again. 10/10

Fantastic at the finish line!
Such a warm welcome and ideal location, literally at the finishing line of the Great Glen way. Add room was spotlessly clean as was the shared bathroom and toilet. Really smart kitchen with everything you need to self cater but loads of eateries just on the doorstep. We tried the Spanish restaurant 20 m down the road.

On this occasion poor value for money
The negative. This hostel along with other accommodation in the area appears to inflate prices depending on what local events are occurring.On this occasion I paid 250 pounds for 3 nights accommodation. Other guests were horrified at the cost in relation to what you got. The good. Beds were comfortable. Black out blinds very welcome. Room a nice Temperature.Common area and kitchen extremely nice. Especially the Kitchen. Needs improvement. Shared shower facilities. Therefore you need to get changed in the shower cubicle . To do that you need to put your towel down on the wet cubicle floor . You get issued with one towel on arrival. Having used the shower in the morning and then having returned from the loch Ness Marathon I was hoping for a fresh towel. The response from the worker on asking . Was she appeared flustered and began shouting. Had I not already checked out. No was my reply I check out the following day. The response was that I have to pay another 5 pounds. I politely explained that having paid 250 pounds for three nights I felt it unfair. In respect of the showers adjacent to room 1 and 2. Out of three showers . One barely worked. The 2nd one had a broken on off twist handle.And the 3rd was fine. Overall Cleanliness Kitchen beds good . Showers poor . With exception off one staff member polite and professional. Depending on when you travel could be exceptional value to extremely poor value as mine was on this occasion. It was only the accommodation in the locality where prices were substantially increased .Bars and restaurants remained the same. What does this mean.Only the well healed get to attend events disadvantaging others.

Please note, the property cannot accommodate group bookings of 6 or more guests. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Bazpackers doesn't accept cash payments anymore. Card payment only. We may ask you for your credit card details on arrival for any bookings made through a virtual card. The late-check-out fee is £5 every half an hour that has begun after 11 am. If not checked out by 1 pm, we will charge another night. Very important : Following numerous issues, any male making a reservation for one of our female dorms only will be asked to cancel their booking on arrival and if not compliant, this will be reported to booking.com and your booking will be canceled anyway. When you book a female dorm, this is clearly stated beforehand. Please not that no refund will be given. Even though we will try to accommodate you if we have availability, we cannot guarantee it. In that case, you won't be able to stay with us neither expect for a refund as this will be considered as a breach of our policy.
