Welcoming Hosts Excellent Room Brilliant Breakfast

I arrived on the ferry from Aberdeen at 11pm I had been provided detailed instructions on how to navigate to Ardconnel B&B from the ferry terminal though, at night, in the dark and being my first time visiting, I was still unsure of the last quarter mile, any worries I may have had quickly disappeared as the hostess, (Theresa) signalled me in with a torch and a very warm welcome. I was booked for one night only, accommodation was excellent as was breakfast, a real home from home, if I’m ever fortunate enough to visit Orkney again I would definitely, without any reservations, book a room at Ardconnel B&B again.

Well cared for nice B&B.

B&B is a little bit outside the village, but you can walk to the harbor via the hiking trail next to the sea (15 minutes). Large parking is located next to the house. Very friendly welcome by the owner Theresa. Spacious room with lots of light and with the necessary facilities. Quite large bathroom with a shower. The only regret in the bathroom is that there is no mirror above the sink. It hangs right against the other wall and that is especially annoying when you shave with shaving cream in the morning. Boxspring bed fine to sleep. Breakfast is free choice, wide choice with fresh fruit, very tasty. Small drawback was that there was no desk in the bedroom to work on the computer or do some puzzles. Two good seats, though. The rooms are only accessible by stairs on the first floor. We stayed here two nights and are very satisfied with this B&B.

Exceptional!

Very nice discovery! We enjoyed everything.
Indeed the location with Kirkwall is perfect. There is private parking.
The rooms are spacious , very clean and the bedding is comfortable.
In addition the breakfasts were quality and very hearty.
Welcoming and availability of our host Theresa was excellent and we felt good at home.
Little more Highland cows are visible from the accommodation!

Amazing

I had a very lovely stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It was also very quiet, relaxing and reseting peacefully throughout my stay. They were friendly, helpful, and making an amazing breakfast.

Fabulous

Lovely well run B&B. Clean spacious rooms with well thought out details. Hostess is lovely and super helpful. Breakfast (no news here) is really excellent. Decent coffee, fresh juices and local Yoghurt. Traditional cooked breakfast with high quality ingredients.
