Great stay, staff are amazing... Sad it hear its going!
We stayed this weekend for a place to base ourselves for a relative going to slam dunk festival and for us to experiance Leeds. The hotel was really good, needs a minor maintenance but the room was really nice with a comfy bed and loads of extras provided! It was extremely clean and tidy with nice features throughout with a good breakfast! The restaurant was closed and we found out that the whole hotel is due for a refurb and all staff are being made redundant. I personally think the staff were some of the best I've experianced and they'll all be such a great loss to the hotel when it reopens. It'll be a struggle for the new owners to meet the same standards if they plan to start from scratch! Hopefully the hotel will return and be of the same standard soon. Thanks for a great stay :)

The Hotel has sadly been under invested in for some time and is in need of a major overall and the refurbishment plans look amazing. The hotel was taken over last August and when the Hotel re-opens it will be the best in Leeds with state of the art facilities. Although the current team may not be here on re-opening, I am confident that the new one will continue where we left off and continue to deliver excellent customer service.

Rude staff, clear prejudice from staff. Weeks stay necessary during lockdown.
Staff mimicking having sex behind counter during check in.
Entering my room without permission.
Oil heaters producing toxic fumes.
Dusty rooms left for months.
Clear lies and prejudice shown by staff annoyed at having to deal with non white guest.
Only stayed due to lockdown lack of choices.
Overpriced rooms for such disservice.

Hell
Welcome to hell.
Live with your neighbours, music and people until the early hours. So noisy. Try and sleep. No chance.
Rooms 1-2 star, smells . More like a guest house than hotel. Room very poor, supposed to have been refurbished, very disappointed. I will never return. Plus point, staff very very good.

This weekend it was Leeds Festival and also International cricket at Headingley which England won earlier than expected. Therefore Leeds was even more boisterous than normal, especially with the relaxing of outside drinking rules. I am very sorry that this made your stay one you did not enjoy. Being a City Centre Hotel we are a little noisy at times and sadly even more so this weekend. For those looking for a lively night, Leeds is certainly not hell however it does not suit everyone's tastes.
We have not been refurbished recently however we are closing soon for a full Hotel renovation and I am sure the 'New' Cosmopolitan will be to your liking as we will be a high end 4* star hotel with state of the art facilities.

Not a bad room... Until you want to sleep
The room was clean and spacious, the shower was powerful and warm and there were lots of little items and toiletries available in the bathroom. The bed was comfy however sleeping was not easy; the room was very warm, there was a fan but it didn't really help much, the light from the hall shone in under the door and made the room quite light and there seemed to be a club located nearby so booming bass could be heard quite loudly. After eventually dropping off I woke up around 5 or 6 and there was some sort of generator whirring away outside.
Also the restaurant wasn't open which was disappointing and wasn't mentioned on the website.

Thank you for taking the time to review us and I am sorry that your night was disturbed. There can be light from under the door but a towel would have prevented this which we could have provided. The local night clubs, due to the easing of restrictions due to COVID do appear the be creating more noise than normal which is sadly out of the Hotels control.
I am pleased that you found the room to your liking and cleaned to a high standard and I do hope that you will consider staying with us in the future.

Looks Grand, might be in areas but need some work...staff v good though
stayed here a few of times on nights out, staff always very good, rooms a bit random, some spot on, some like you've been shuffled into a closet with a knocked through wall to make it bigger, more rooms etc to sell but the actual room is tiny, but overall, good, i'd look to stay here next time

As we are not a modern purpose built Hotel our rooms are quite quirky which is what I hope gives the Hotel character and sets us apart from the rather box standard branded Hotels.
