Cheap and very cheerful
We booked 3 Primrose caravans for £720 each, between 16 of us, 7 adults and 9 children (aged between 16 and 3), for the first week in August, which I thought was a pretty good deal. Then I read some reviews and panicked that there may be a reason it was so cheap (!). However, the reality is that it was a lovely place, with very friendly and fun staff, a cheap bar and a wonky pool table. The caravans were nothing special, but nice enough and the extra toilet was a bonus. The kitchen had a full size gas oven and hob, and a full size built in fridge freezer. The beds were comfy, if short (we are a tall family!) and the shower pressure was good. The TV had every freeview channel going, the wifi wasn't great but enough for a holiday Whatsapp group. The pool was fine, if a bit over chlorined, and the activities were pretty good value. We did the pool party, pottery painting, the water walkers, bunker wars, and archery.
Our caravan was clean when we arrived, although some of the crockery could have been better washed by the previous tenants.
It was very quiet at night, although the 4:30am chorus of seagulls was not my favourite thing! Oh yes, I forgot about the seagulls, they were a pain and seemed to have co-ordinated their attacks around the bins, but didn't bother us too much other than that.
If I were nitpicking then I could definitely find negatives, like the toilet roll holder kept falling off, and the drawers in the bedroom were on their way out, I already mentioned the wonky pool table, the guns in the bunker wars battle didn't all work and you can't take the chips from the chip shop into the seating area outside the pool. But in all honesty, for the price we paid for a weeks holiday for 16 people, the proximity to the beach, a fab bakery and ice cream shop, and the great staff, it wouldn't be worth seriously complaining about.
We drove to Prestatyn and to Rhyl for a couple of afternoons out, we ate at the Bells of St Mary's pub on the main road, but we mostly just stayed on site and relaxed.
If you go expecting 5* for your money, you'll be disappointed, but for somewhere cheap and cheerful you'll have a great time!

Don’t stay at number 8
Don’t stay in number 8 . It was awful ( see pictures ) right next to barrier , view of the carpark . People walking past all day , no privacy , no where to hang wet swimming things . This caravan should not be sold to families unless specifically asked for . Maybe if you had mobility issues . No bottom step so walking mud into caravan and no where for kids to play outside . Park itself is clean but nothing to do here . Maybe for really little kids it would be fine but no one over 8 . No food choices except for chippy and restaurant . Pool tiny .
It looked like it was waiting to close down not peak season in summer holidays .
What we paid was way too much for the site . And caravan 8 was such a let down .

Our chip shop and restaurant have great menus if you ever return to try! We'd love for you to return to be able to experience what our park really has to offer.

Best family holiday for the kiddies
Amazing experience, kids loved it seeing Charlie bear again. We have visited about 5 times now and each time there has been improvements to the park and makes your stay better.
We will be returning in the future!
I wanna give a massive hands up to kj, Teagan, Daniel and Ruby they are the life line of the park and are amazing with the kids.
Housekeeping is amazing too and I couldn't fault them at all.
The bar and restaurant was amazing and the food is absolutely mouth watering.
If I could rate it out of 100 it would be 110.
Dylan, esme and junior says hi to Charlie bear.
We will be returning in the future!

A little piece of heaven
Lovely park,caravan was the same as shown online! Very clean and spacious. Only downside was the heating had been left on so was very hot, security came and sorted it right away. Lovely bar, lovely staff, enjoyed the outdoors seating. Chip shop was good, the pool and Jacuzzi amazing. Overall ten out of ten,would happily come again
