Hands down the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at
The Mill at Glynhir is a little corner of paradise in South Wales, perfectly located to enjoy both the Breacon Becons national park and the coast, where Helen and Mat created not only their home, but a beautiful home away from home for all the lucky guests who stay there. We have stayed for 3 nights in room 4 and absolutely loved it there. The room is spacious, very well decorated, the bathroom is huge and has a rainfall shower, and there is nothing we missed during our stay: there is air conditioning, a mini fridge with fresh water and milk (which gests replenished during the stay - something that we never experienced before), a beauty kit inclusive of everything you could possibly need, as well as a tea/coffee corner with also hot chocolate and a very much appreciated jar full of treats (and when I say full I mean full), which gests replenished as well. There is plenty of parking space right in front of the room, which overlooks on the field where the 4 alpacas live. Moving on to the breakfast, it was the best breakfast ever had not only at a b&b, but also at any hotel: First of all, you are welcomed in their outstanding living room (I swear I would hire them to furnish my house), they give you a choice of hot beverage, while there are fresh juices, milk and plenty of different jogurts in a fridge. Then, there is a vast choice of fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, watermelon, banana etc), as well as cereal / oatmeal, many different jams and other sweet spreads and some cheese and ham too. This would have probably been enough on its own, but then there comes the main star of the morning: their cooked breakfast! You can choose between a classic English breakfast, avocado and poached eggs on a toasted muffin or salmon and eggs, but they were actually extremely accomodating, so we actually played around a bit with the ingredients too. Everything was super fresh and my mouth is watering only writing about it. Last but not least, a mention of honour goes to Helen and Mat, not only for what they created, but for the heart they quite literally pour in everything they do. They are the loveliest people: We had really nice chats with them, they give great advice on the surroundings and are very helpful for whatever you might need during your stay. We truly had a blast and are already looking forward to coming back in the future. I’ve left quite a few five star reviews over the years, but if I could this one would deserve a “+” or a “cum laude” on top.

Fabulous, Fantastic, 10 out of 10
What a Gem of a Find! If you want to stay in an unforgettable place then this would be it. The rooms are fabulous and comfortable. With everything at an exceptional standard. The hosts Helen and Mat were so friendly and kind. The choice of breakfast as excellent. It's great value for money, you won't be disappointed. Go and discover for yourselves.

The most unforgettable stay
It will be hard to express in words how brilliant my experience was. I travel with work a lot and stayed in many places all over the country. I have never felt more at home in any of other B&Bs. Not only the location is stunning, the rooms look gorgeous and are maintained to the highest standard. But what does complete this place are the owners Helen and Matt. They are the most kind, caring and wonderful people. I was at the point of finalising my move to Wales but still deciding what to do and they have made the decision for me. As first impressions of new place and feel of community are important and I couldn't find better people to show me that the move to Wales is a right decision. I will be forever grateful for their kindness. If anybody is considering visiting Wales but is still not sure please visit The Mill as it will make you move to the local area in a heartbeat.

Another lovely stay at The Mill
Just had another lovely stay at The Mill and as always, our room (4) was immaculate and had everything we needed (and more) for a comfortable stay. Great breakfast to set you up for the day and Helen and Mat are simply brilliant host. Strongly recommend booking directly.!

Excellence as always
Our 3rd time here and as always never disappoints the room is very comfortable and this time we had breakfast in owners property as there was a self catering booking the room is amazing and the breakfast as always was superb will see you next year !!!! It’s a credit to you both
