VARIED AND EXCELLENT FOOD

WE EAT HERE REGULARLY - EXCELLENT FOOD,GOOD VALUE,NICELY PRESENTED BY FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE STAFF - AND A NICE OUTDOOR/COVERED AREA FOR GOOD-WEATHER EATING. I OFTEN HAVE THE THREE TAPAS DEAL - ONE FOR STARTER AND TWO FOR MAINS WITH FRIES - GREAT CHEESE BALLS IMAGINATIVELY DRESSED FOLLOWED BY VERY LIGHT TEMPURA PRAWNS WITH YUMMY SPICY DIP , SQUID WITH GREAT TARTARE SAUCE - A " FULLY FURNISHED " BURGER WAS THE OTHER MAIN GOOD CHOICE OF MAINS, OVERALL WITH INTERESTING SPECIALS BOARD - MAYBE A REGULAR PASTA DISH MIGHT APPEAL TO SOME. AND LOVE THE MALBEC AT AN OK £25. NOT INTO DSSERTS, SO CAN'T COMMENT, THO' NICE CHOICE EXCEPT NO ICECREAM LISTED

Disappointed

What can I say, lovely evening food okay,
I don't like paying for a beer that we didn't have!
Thought you were better than that one might say new management.

Great food. Great value

We had a lovey meal here this evening. We both had scampi and chips. It came hot, nicely presented and in good quantity (12 scampi each!). All in all it was good value for money and an enjoyable experience

Very nice place to stay

We arrived before the normal check-in time so, as expected, our room was not ready. However, Sara kindly upgraded us to a room that was ready so we were able to check-in straight away which was very much appreciated. Sara had handled our booking and came across as a lovely person. We found all the staff at The Swan to be friendly and helpful. Our room (number 7) was a nice size, with good facilities. We had asked for a walk-in shower but there was also a free-standing bath. The bathroom was a good size. The bed was huge and comfortable. The Swan does not currently do breakfast (it's room only) but there are plenty of places nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Go elsewhere, rude staff

I'm writing to express my experience at the appalling service we received at the pub recently. The manager, who was more interested in her phone than attending to customers, initially told us we could order food. However, when we tried to place our order, she informed us that the kitchen wouldn't be taking orders for another hour, despite only taking one order of 2 meals. To our astonishment, just 20 minutes later, we witnessed her allowing another customer to place an order. This inconsistent and indifferent treatment is disgraceful and unacceptable. With a young child and family visiting from elsewhere in the country, I’d avoid unless you want disappointment!
