The staff were very friendly, helpful and communicated well. As i was arriving later, they left my key in a lock box, with full instructions - they phoned and followed up by text. The hotel was very quiet and close to lots of lovely cafes, eateries and convenience stores. I Would definitely stay again. Parking is available opposite for 1.70 overnight until 8am.

Lovely hotel, easy check in and check out. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice quiet room.
Lots of cafes and restaurants along the high street, some offer a 10% discount for guests at the hotel.
Would stay again!

Mixed bag

Need some work to make it to the level of the photos. The good points were the welcome and letting us park out the front with my blue badge.
However there is NO lounge or bar and this was one reason unstated here based on Tripadvisor.
Secondly, we got to the room and there was a puddle in the bathroom. Reception grabbed towels and said a plumber had been out but obviously not sorted so we had to make an instant decision to stay due to time constraints. They also could not swap the room out as Fully booked.
It’s just all needs TLC and some better cleaning.

Thank you for the review. To just confirm a few points, we do not advertise having a lounge or bar area. We do however point out when staying with us that there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants within the village who offer discounts anywhere from 10-25% / complimentary drinks for our guests.
We were fully booked on the ground floor, a room on the first floor was offered to you but you chose to stay in the same room. Deanna you also came across as very understanding to the issue at the time.

The hosts were great but the rooms were like staying in a hostel. The heating for the room was only put on when we arrived so it was freezing everywhere.
The towels were so hard.
The curtains had been trimmed with scissors very badly and the window handle fell off when I tried to open it.
The beds were comfortable though.

Plenty of shops and bars near by, great little village and great location.
