Flying visit
Angelo who has joined will be an asset to this hotel, he took his time to talk us through the history of the hotel which we would never know. He is always very professional, extremely friendly and that’s why I would always come and visit him when in London. A true credit to the hospitality industry and I wish him all the best in this next chapter of his career

Wonderful stay
Truly beautiful building lovely atmosphere.
On arrival staff were lovely and so helpful
credit to the hotel
Breakfast was amazing great choices
Only couple of negatives
Rooms are so hot and fans didn’t help we were not in room long enough to spoil our stay, the only other negative is the mattress, never slept on anything so hard had to check we were not sleeping in a concrete slab,
Other than the two negatives I would go back in a heart beat

Terrible customer service- they just did not care!
The person (male team member) on the desk needs re-training as he had no customer service skills whatsoever, rude and did not care. He gave the impression he had no idea what he was doing as he went back and forth from the the office asking someone else in the office for log in details.
We were told the supervisor was on his way to 'sort it out', this was a hour and a half and still left waiting so we just left and booked another hotel down the road. We are pursuing a refund through booking.com. But the lack of customer service was appalling as it was 11:30pm at night when we gave up and left. Disgraceful.

Terrible property
Dated property that absolutely needs to be renovated.
Our room on the first floor without an elevator, small and uncomfortable, cramped entrance and with 5 narrow steps to get to the bed. Mattress worn on one side that created a dip (a real treat for the back!). Window glass filthy, with bird droppings. You could hear every single step taken by the occupants of the room above because their floor creaked loudly. To reach the bathroom (which is tiny) you had to go down 5 steps, which makes everything very inconvenient at night and it is necessary to turn on the light (disturbing sleep) to avoid falling. The bathroom door did not open completely because the towel rack blocked it. The only positive note about the bathroom is the size of the shower stall, which is comfortable. We should have had air conditioning in the room, but it did not work. When I pointed this out at the front desk, they told me that the malfunction was due to dust (which is not plausible because the wall controls wouldn't even turn on) and they offered to change my room, but they had no others available.
Very slow Wi-Fi network.
Breakfast: quite varied, especially for savory options, but little attention to service and cleanliness.
Very convenient location for the Queensway and Bayswater subway stations, just a few minutes' walk away, and located across from Kensington Gardens.
For £154/night (€180) B&B, I definitely expect much better.
I will never choose this property again in the future and I strongly advise against it.
