We would like to clarify that your reservation had been cancelled by yourself prior to your arrival, as confirmed by the Booking.com portal and screenshots we provided showing they had cancelled the booking at your request. Despite the cancellation, you later arrived at the hotel expecting to check in.
As there was no longer an active reservation in place, we were unfortunately unable to accommodate your stay. At no point was our intention to leave you in a difficult situation, and we regret that this misunderstanding affected your weekend.
We always encourage guests to check their booking status and any correspondence regarding cancellations before travelling to avoid situations like this.

Family Stay , close to the train
I was honestly a little nervous before arriving because of some of the reviews mentioning noise from the pub below. Thankfully, that wasn't our experience at all. During our stay, the pub was showing a late-night World Cup match, so I expected it to be loud, but once we were in our room, we barely heard a thing and slept really well.
We happened to be visiting during the heatwave, and the air conditioning struggled to keep up. However, the staff were quick to help and brought us two fans, which made the room much more comfortable. We really appreciated how responsive and accommodating they were.
The room was clean and comfortably fit our family of four. It had everything we needed for a short stay, and the staff were friendly from check-in to check-out.
One tip: don't skip the pub downstairs! It's a great place to relax with a drink after a day of sightseeing.
If you're looking for a clean, convenient hotel within easy walking distance of St Pancras, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
