Hotel and staff were generally nice, but toilet in bedroom spent of urine. No body lotion in bedroom bathroom. Had 3x Breakfasts for 4x mornings of my stay and items constantly needed to be replenished for the buffet. Was asked for id on arrival which was fine but would have been nice to be given prior notice as I am a UK resident.

Best hotel near East Croydon station, so far....

Very nice surprise in East Croydon. We upgraded to a nice spacious room on the top floor with an extra large bed, fridge (with some drinks/snacks), AC and a coffee pod machine (though we never use them - so unnecessarily wasteful). Very nice surprise to find vouchers for coffee/drinks at the bar downstairs, and newspapers on a table by the lift. Breakfast seems to have 2 prices - £14 per head at the front desk, or £17 walk-up price. It should simply be £14 - anything more would definitely be overpriced. Breakfast was good but would be even better with freshly made coffee rather than a machine. The toaster seemed to be pretty useless. I saw people putting bread through 3 times and then giving up!

Great location for transport access

I keep returning to this conveniently located midrange hotel a few minutes walk from East Croydon Station - fine for sleeping in, not for lingering in. Great public transport connections for London (including St Pancras) , Cambridge and Gatwick. Usually good value for money, some oddities. All rooms generously sized. The better ones have fridge (mini-bar) and Nespresso machine and room safe; the hotel has an unusual policy of not having toilet brushes in the bathroom (arguably more hygienic). Bar / simple restaurant good plus there’s a basic supermarkt one minute down the road. Friendly staff.

It's perfectly fine for a night if you need a place in the area. Price is right, bed was nice, bathroom could have been better but it's fine for what it is. Parking over the road is half what it is in the place next door (well, even less as I got charged twice)!

We showed up earlier than expected, front desk was more than happy to hold our bags as we were there for a music festival, reception was clean bar on the right looked warm and welcoming, the room was immaculate, we were given an unexpected upgrade which was more than appreciated, staff were talkative and impressionable nothing seemed too much, will recommend the brand and the branch to others
