Highly recommend this place!

Location is amazing, room is awesome, building is authentic! Close to the Tube station and the museum, lovely coffee shop at the end of the street!

The dirtiest accommodation we have ever seen !

Absolutely awful accommodation. We followed instructions to call 30 minutes before arrival. Arrived at location had to stand around for ages. Young man opened door eventually, with not even an apology or explanation. Then had to carry suitcases up four flights or stairs, without even a hint of an offer of help from our host. Got to room and underwhelming was the first downside. Was very worried host wanted to take a photo of my passport on what looked like a personal mobile phone. This room was filthy to the point in being unhygienic. Please see attached photos. When I put my bag on the table as we entered, it stuck to the table. The more we looked around, the room and its contents were so far from what was promised. Chairs had BIG stains on them. Surfaces were stinking. Furniture and paint were chipped. Water stains all over the wall. The bedside locker was particularly bad, with what looked like stains and blonde human hair attached. We actually thought about buying food from a local supermarket to cook in the kitchen. That wasn’t going to happen. We actually went and bought our own glasses. On leaving we checked under the bed, please see photos. The company website states that the rooms are professionally cleaned AND disinfected after every visit. Time didn’t permit, but if we had had more time we would have left and booked somewhere else. IF I COULD GIVE zero stars I wouldn’t even hesitate. Shocked that this place is even listed on hotels.com. NEVER AGAIN.

Low on amenities

The location was excellent and very convenient, right in the heart of central London. Unfortunately, our stay had several significant issues. The building had no working elevators, so we had to carry all of our luggage up seven flights of stairs, which was extremely difficult.
The apartment was also inadequately stocked for our group of five. We were provided little toiletries for a four-day stay, only three towels, and no washcloths at all. These basic amenities should have been provided in sufficient quantities for the number of guests and length of the stay.
While the location was a major advantage, the lack of accessibility and insufficient supplies made our stay much less comfortable than expected.

SCAM!! Avoid!!!

Absolute SCAM!!... Be warned!!!....They take your money then cancel the booking!!.. Booked through booking.com with free cancelation, they took the money the day of the booking and then cancelled my booking. After months of phone calls, emails back and forth with booking.com my money was eventually paid back by booking.com not Stayo! Disgraceful!!

Be warned, don't book with Stayo! I booked at Stayo Baker Street through Booking.com. I've had a terrible and very stressful experience with them! I had paid in full earlier in the year for my trip at the end of June. A few week ago I tried to reach the property and they just "disappeared". Their London phone number is out of service, the alternative number is a hotel in Spain who and knows nothing about a property in London! Email to them returned undelivered or is just not answered. Because of this I got very concerned and cancelled my booking more than two weeks ago. I'm still waiting to be refunded. Booking.com has also no really assisted, they helped me cancel my booking, but they have also not refunded me and said they're waiting for the property. It's vey scary. I would never book with them again! They can not be trusted. I had to book other accommodation although I've not been refunded yet.
