Staff were friendly enough and there is a discount on food & drink if you’re staying at the hotel.
The pizzas are recommended, but watch out if you order the mozzarella dish, it may be cold!
Room 102 was pleasant enough, with a large bathroom, but the placement of the toiletries holder made it awkward to shower. It is also on the roadside and the windows do not offer much protection from the traffic noise, or people arguing outside in the early hours! Tea & coffee in the room is a nice touch.
Nighttime access is round the back of the pub, which is open 24/7, was a little alarmed by this.
Good enough location, being a 5 minute walk from Wimbledon Park tube, or a 20 minute walk from Earlsfield - where there are plenty of restaurants and bars.

Awful Place

Awful place. Stains on the bed and the sofa bed. Blind broken. Shower mouldy. Carpet dirty. Lumpy pillows. Access door open all night, anyone can walk in from the back of the pub. Room doesn’t get cleaned unless you leave a certain sign outside, said sign was no where to be found. See my photos for evidence.

Best local Pub!

The Woodman Pub has changed dramatically in the past few years. From a dated and dreary venue to a modern, fun-filled and friendly destination with hotel rooms above. The Manager and bar staff are super friendly and helpful. They now have the added feature of an on-site pizza chef as well as their usual menu. The roast dinners are excellent. They have so many different activities, from quiz nights to live music and art events. It's on the 156 bus route and a stone's throw from Wimbledon Park underground station. The food, drink and atmosphere have surpassed the close-by neighbourhood pub, Pig and Whistle. Choose The Woodman!

Highly Recommend!

Always have a wonderful time at The Woodman! I was surprised with their new pizza menu which Ana introduced us to.
Amazing taste, truly worth trying!
Having added a pool table and a gaming machine, makes a great place to hang around with friends.
Great food, great atmosphere, great entertainment!
100% recommend!
