Alfa coach trip

Went on an Alfa coach trip to this hotel and it was lovely. Though old it is exceptionally clean and the staff were friendly

Return visit

Just had 2 excellent days at the waverly castle hotel, premium room , comfortable and clean, great place to stay for exploring border towns, staff excellent, singers on both nights , we really like robbie carran he's a great entertainer , we have stayed here 3 times recently, and will be back,

Long wait for meals

Just back from alfa holiday ....
Melrose was nice had shops to look round ...hotel was ok....our room was very dusty and carpet looked like it hadn't been hoovered....we had a quite room nice not to hear door's banging....we had a very good coach driver Damien....
Can not fault the meals ...time you have to wait for meals was 45-50 minutes....staff are rushed off there feet always apologising for your wait on meals ....we didn't have breakfast 2 mornings we went elsewhere because of the time .......
Sorry to have to say we will not be back at this hotel ......due to time waiting for meals

Lovley hotel

Not long home from a few days away with a coach party the hotel itself is lovley and set in nice grounds very peaceful great location,the food and rooms were of a good standard and most of the staff were lovley and friendly I say most as an older lady on the bar was not very nice!the way she spoke to staff is shocking and her manner gives off an unpleasant atmosphere in the bar area overall!the other people on the bar were lovley and welcoming.our stay was good and other than the mentioned issue we would not hesitate no return again in the future

Good stay recommended

Really lovely welcoming hotel & staff absolutely amazing.
Rooms need updating but overall comfortable.
Restaurant clean with good food & excellent service.
