Ticks all the boxes - perfect stay!
Lovely friendly welcome on arrival and parked easily at the front of hotel.
Room was on first floor, nice and clean and very spacious. Hairdryer and kettle in room which was good. Would have liked a mini fridge and sockets near the beds but did not really matter just a thought.
Breakfast was beautiful, we ate in the bar area as we had the dog which was perfect for us. Lots of choice from pastries, cereals to cooked. Juices and coffee lovely.
Location perfect for us as we could cross the road and walk the dog before breakfast and at night. Lusty glaze just around the corner and the main town a short walk away. Tesco express next door very handy.
Staff were all so friendly from the owners to the restaurant staff and really welcomed us with the dog which was great. Drinks were reasonably priced and nice to see a choice of cocktails at the bar.
We would definitely return!

Although the restaurant staff, bar staff, and room service were kind and helpful, unfortunately there were several issues that made my stay disappointing.
The reception experience was particularly uncomfortable. My pronouns were repeatedly used incorrectly, even though my information had been updated in the app. I expected the reception team to respect and use the correct information.
The property itself appears quite old and poorly maintained. The swimming pool handrail was damaged and loose in several places, which felt unsafe. The walls had visible damage, as did the internal room door. The duvets also appeared stained and were not in an acceptable condition for a hotel charging this price.
The room had no air conditioning, and the window could not be properly opened because of the child-safety lock, which made the airflow very poor. The toilet ventilation was also extremely noisy, sounding almost like a helicopter when it started.
Breakfast was another disappointment. The choice was very limited, mainly a basic English breakfast. There was only one type of cheese and ham, no vegetables, no fruit, and only square bread for toast. The coffee selection was also poor, with only black coffee available from the machine.
Overall, while some staff members were friendly and helpful, the condition of the property, room maintenance, limited breakfast, and poor reception experience do not feel justified for the price paid. I would expect much better standards and attention
