Nice beach front bar

Went in for a drink and hoped to eat too - but they were fully booked ! Next time, hopefully. The beer selection was good and the atmosphere nice though and would definitely visit next time we're in Mawgan Porth

Amazing food with a wonderful view!

Absolutely wonderful! We sat in the beautiful beer garden overlooking Mawgan Porth beach. The food and service were both excellent! I had the whole Megrin sole which was on the Specials menu and it was absolutely delicious and good value for money! I also had key lime pie for dessert which melted in my mouth!

Annual trip to Mawgan porth

Very good service and value for money
Staff are always pleased to see us and service is good
Sunday lunch in particular is very good

Shocked

How this place has positive reports is beyond me. Without a doubt the worse meal I have ever had. People coming here giving a positive review must’ve generally eat at McDonnalds to rate it above a one.

Excellent visit

The location of the Merrymoor is stunning , literally just across the road from the beach. We were greeted with very warm welcomes as usual, we have been visiting the Merrymoor for over 60 years , ( yes came her as a child :). It’s family run with very friendly staff.
We had a wonderful view from our bedroom window and we loved watching the sea ,and everyone enjoying being on the beach . The room was spotless ,very comfortable and with good tea /coffee making options ,( plus biscuits ).
We ate dinner in the bar both nights enjoying excellent food, with generous portions. There’s a mix of locals and visitors eating or just enjoying a drink in a relaxed atmosphere .
Breakfast was also plentiful with lots of good local tasty choices .
We look forward to returning soon .
