Taking a fairy breath

Best place ever! A fairy night fantasizing to sleep in some sairy being's shelter!
Easy to use the toilet and stunning the shower box!
The kitchen is very very stilish and takes you back in Time!
I hope to stay there once more in my life!
Owners very kind and helpful!
I suggest to have a walk around by day and by night!

Very bad experience

The room is nice. The positivity ends here, unfortunately.
Eco stands for completely devoid of the most basic sanitation.
The bathroom is little more than a hole in the ground, without a flush, and guests are expected to throw sticks over their own excrement (which remains there waiting for the next guest.
The shower only cold water (in Skye!) so unusable.
Owners never seen, they leave guests the beauty of this supposed return to nature.

Peaceful, off grid, quiet few nights under the stars...

Myself, my husband and our dog had a lovely 2 night stay here.
The place is well equipped with kitchen facilities, in fact if we stayed again we would cook more. Keep in mind though that as there's no electricity you can only keep cool what you can fit in the cool boxes that are in the shared kitchen spaces. The shared spaces cleaned daily.
The shower was lovely and neither of us ever had to wait. The toilet (one male, one female) might take some getting used to...maybe take a torch to read the instructions as the lights are dim and I couldn't work out exactly where to throw the hemp until I saw the instructions in daylight.
The cabin was perfect, all as per the pics and very very peaceful at night.
We ate out in Stein which is a drive away and booking was required.
We would definitely stay again if we return to Skye.
Tip- take your own bath/shower towels. We happened to have some but I think we had missed that they prefer you to take your own, though some are provided.

Magical place!

We stayed during November and luckily had the whole place to ourselves! We sadly didn't get to meet Scott and Nadia but they were incredibly helpful over email and very accommodating. We stayed in the Storr Eco Bell and it was perfectly cosy and comfy. The wood burning stove meant we never got cold in the evenings and there was firewood for sale so we could finish our day of exploring with a fire outside every evening. The site is perfectly located for exploring Skye and Nadia and Scott's helpful book containing local knowledge and tips meant we were perfectly equipped to explore the island. We absolutely loved how environmentally friendly the site was, and hugely appreciated the recycling facilities, compost toilets, and lack of electricity and wifi. It is a magical off-grid experience, and the whole site is designed really beautifully, with so many little touches that emphasize that it is clearly a project designed with love and passion. The cooking facilities were fantastic and we were able to cook every evening and enjoy our meal by the fire outside. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and are counting down the days until we can come back!

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful scenery

We had the most relaxing and rejuvenating stay in Eco Bells. It is perfect for those looking to get away from it all, but still stay in complete comfort. The lodges were exceptionally clean and looked brand new and even with the varied Spring weather of Skye, the wood stoves kept us very cosy throughout our stay. The beds were really comfy. The greenhouse shower was beautiful. Scott and Nadia were very welcoming hosts and the meandering chickens added to the off grid experience! Despite feeling so remote, it’s only a short drive from Dunvegan which has some really nice places to eat, should you want a break from self-catering. We will be back!
