Love Rockley
We’ve been coming to Rockley park for about 4 years now, for us we love it! My children are very outdoorsy so it’s a perfect site for us crabbing, fishing, walks ,nature reserve, sports etc we are not the type to go on holiday and sit in a caravan all week so caravans are always just a base for us, I cannot comment on haven caravans myself as we always book privately but my friend joined us and had a beautiful clean caravan. We don’t really use the club house so can’t comment on that as we prefer to spend evenings at the beach watching the sunset, crabbing, flying kites etc we did do the crazy golf which my kids really enjoyed, and the climbing wall they really enjoyed that too. Fish & chip shop was really nice and very reasonable price wise, my sons had papas pizza said it was really nice and Burger King also said was quite nice - people moaning about the cleanness of the Park should perhaps also lay some of that at the feet of people visiting the site who seem to have little respect for their surroundings I witnessed people chucking rubbish on the floor several times at the outdoor pool just not giving a single hoot about it - what are haven supposed to do have a team of rubbish collectors 24/7 supervising grown adults who cannot be bothered to clean up their own rubbish?? Every staff member I came into contact with was friendly, chatty and really helpful we stayed at The Oaks and yes there is a train line but I honestly only noticed a few trains each day but we were out almost all day, we hired a motor boat at Rockley point which was the highlight for us and an experience we will never forget! To sum up if you want a quiet peaceful holiday then it’s not for you if you want a busy family holiday park then Rockley park is the ideal location

Shocking
Well not what I was expecting at all people saying it the best park I can’t see how. The place is dirty our caravan well what can I say riddled no ant in the kettle the toaster bedrooms floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, even loads in the bed . The swimming pools were filthy even the toilets. Our first caravan had not been cleaned in months after 5 hour wait and demanding our money back they moved us. Won’t visit again a lot of crying as first time taking granddaughter away

Haven Rockley Park
Currently staying at Rockley Park on a Monday to Monday break as a family of 5 (three children aged 17months, 8 & 13)
After reading so many negative reviews before arrival I was very apprehensive especially with entering the caravan as many of the reviews were negative with regards to the cleaning, but we needn’t of worried as our caravan (37 Lychett Bay View was pristine inside, the only criticism I could mention would be the decking wrapped around it and the garden furniture could do with a jet wash but there is a massive tree that covers a lot of the caravan so it’s understandable why it’s not on the well kept side. It certainly hasn’t stopped the children from venturing out on it and making the most of the outdoor space.
It’s a three bedroom caravan so the older two children are fully enjoying having their own room for the week, only downside is where we hired a travel cot it’s a tight squeeze in the main bedroom meaning we can’t shut the door of a nighttime neither use the en suite bathroom.
We noticed pretty quickly there wasn’t a hairdryer in the main bedroom like it stated what came with the silver caravan package, a walk into reception to bring this to their attention and they were super helpful and made sure one was brought to the caravan within a few hours.
Location wise we are a 5 min walk to the beach where there’s a beach cafe where you can hire crabbing equipment to be able to do crabbing at the water and lots of refreshments able to be bought inside the cafe, quite long opening hours too which is ideal in the summer holidays. There’s even a little play park down there
Apart from the up hill walk to the main facilities it’s between a 5-10min walk to get there, the play parks could do with an update especially as they are aimed at more younger children under the age of 7. Swimming pool inside was great, however only lasted 30mins with the 17month old due to the temperature of the pool, changing rooms could be abit bigger as was a very compact space especially when it was the end of one session and beginning of the next. Yet to go in the outdoor pool but advice would be to definitely book your swim slots before arriving especially in the peak months.
Arcades are fab, 2p machines have been a godsend to keep the children occupied we ventured into the ShowBar only one night but came away from there after an hour so can’t really comment on the entertainment, for a massive haven park it could do with being in a bigger location for the nighttime entertainment side of things.
Atmosphere has been great though, height of summer holidays so lots of kids being kids and just enjoying themselves, yes the bins around site have looking a little full at times but what do you expect when you come in the peak season where the park is busy.
Aldi, Lidl, Tesco all within 15min drive.
Onsite shop has everything you need but of course is pricey. We actually had a food shop booked to be delivered to our caravan on arrival (allocated caravan 24hours before so updated on Tesco app) and this was a godsend as saved a lot of space on the car journey down.

Rockley Park Haven
We stayed in a bronze caravan and we were pleasantly suprised initially. It had decking and an extra room which we weren’t expecting. However it was quite obvious that not a lot of care had gone into the general cleanliness of the caravan. The decking was filthy and floors sticky underfoot. The park setting itself is lovely, and has so much potential.
I think the calibre of people who stay doesn’t help the overall feel of the stay. It is quite rough, and there are a lot of young adults who work here who are just not cut out to deal with the people who they are dealing with. There was a very high police presence which felt quite unsettling and although you don’t expect to be told the details it would have been nice to have an insight as it did feel unsafe at times. I also had to contact security as there was a dog fight. Lots of shouting from adults and an injured dog, broad daylight lots of kids still walking around. I was told they wouldn’t be able to get there for 10 mins but that police were already on site for a separate incident. I just felt like it was an issue that should have been sorted quickly, not only for the dogs but also to stop anything else getting out of hand. They arrived after the incident and no more happened. It made me feel unsafe walking around with my dogs and children after this. It’s not all Havens fault but I do feel that the place is far too small for the amount of people who were here.

Great time as family of 6. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We’ve just got back from our 7 night stay as a family of 6 (children 16,8,6,1) and we had a great time. The little beach and beach cafe was great, the site was clean and all the staff were friendly. There’s plenty to do in the local area, Hamworthy park is a 5 minute drive and can spend the whole day there - there’s the beach, big play park, splash park, and a cafe on site. Poole quay is a 20 minute walk from hamworthy park which we enjoyed along the beach front. My children love crabbing and there’s a little crabbing/fishing hut on Poole quay (use bacon)
Supermarkets - there is loads, Aldi, Lidl, Asda all within 20 mins.
Shops - Poole town centre is nearby and if you love charity shops like my wife does. You could spend the whole day there - there is plenty of benches to sit and wait for your other half!
We’ll be back next year for sure, it’s our favourite holiday park yet. We often bounce between park dean and haven and this Haven takes the top spot.
It would only be fair to write my cons which aren’t that bad.
We had no hot water and water pressure in the caravan for the first 2 days. It took 4 engineers in total HOWEVER the reception staff gave us a full days refund of £145 and £60 vouchers to use on site.
Haven entertainment isn’t great, it was all singers and game shows. We were hoping for magicians, dance acts etc the entertainment is very dated and are still playing the same music from early 2000’s we don’t want ABBA etc anymore (we are a new generation of parents)
The outdoor pool was closed for maintenance whilst we was there but it didn’t bother us as it was so hot we went to the beach instead.
Last but not least, this doesn’t affect anyone but more for haven when they read this. In the entertainment bar there is 30m of led string lights along the ceiling held up by plastic clips. I’m not convinced it meets fire regulations UK wiring regulations (BS 7671) if a fire broke out, it could be a disaster. (I live my life with anxiety, a family to protect and always look for escape routes at a new venue)
We had a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone.
Supermarkets - there is loads, Aldi, Lidl, Asda all within 20 mins.
Shops - Poole town centre is nearby and if you love charity shops like my wife does. You could spend the whole day there - there is plenty of benches to sit and wait for your other half!
