Location A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «The Castle Hotel» is located in Ruthin. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Llangollen Motor Museum, Ruthin Craft Centre and Ruthin Castle.At the hotel Spend an evening in a nice atmosphere of the bar. 10/10 Stay
Once again Wetherspoons didn’t disappoint with a wonderful restoration of an historic inn.
Huge, clean room (102) overlooking the beautiful square, comfy bed and tastefully decorated in keeping with the town. Loads of quality tea, coffee etc was complimentary. The bathroom was large and boasted a great bath/Shower and a wash basin which was large enough in which to shave competently and not flood the place.
Dinner was great - we both had curry and a decent few drinks. Guinness was bang on as was the Kirkstall bitter. Breakfast was super as was the service from all the friendly staff.
I was blown away once again by the value for money Wetherspoon offer and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel on all points.

Very disappointing stay!
We stayed for 2 nights at The Castle Hotel, Ruthin. The hotel is in a great location on the square, paid parking around the back and the food was ok. Very happy with the room except we had cold water in both the sink and shower the whole stay. We did mention it on 3 occasions and promised by the manager to have a look but no one came or sorted for us. A great stay but very disappointing with the customer service.
