Great location and staff. Happy dog too.

We returned to The Ness after having some champers on the terrace last year, but this time to stay overnight, and with our new dog.
The dog freindly room in the annex was lovely, even if we were on the ground floor.
The staff were ALL exceptionally helpful and cheery. Special thanks for putting our champagne on ice in advance, and to the lad who made me the best Old Fashioned I've ever had (made up from a recipe on his phone as it's not on the official menu). Those little touches are worth a lot.
The restaurant? it's fine. We are familiar with H&W pubs as our old local was one. Don't go in expecting miracles, and know it'll be a little pricey. We had a perfectly enjoyable lunch - my chicken burger was lovely (if rather dry), and her meat ball starter was really tasty too. The champagne was good value (for a pub/restaurant) at £50 , and very tasty.
Breakfast was superb in every way.

Beautiful hotel, amazing setting with incredible views. The room waz stunning . Coastal vibrs , extremely comfy bed , the shower was so good. Delicious food. Sad we were only staying for 1 night

Nice room with balcony and view

Great location and room tidy with a good selection of teas and coffees, bed was comfy, enjoyed the bath
Close to the monkey zoo and smugglers beach and would book in when next in the area
Breakfast was a nice start to the day

Poor Cod and chips

Booked a table and ordered cod and chips . They were definitely not cod ! Frozen chips thrown on plate with fish on top and served with watery mushy peas . Asked for tartar sauce and was given mayonnaise with some dried dill mixed in !! All for £21.95 very poor

Birthday treat

We stayed at The Ness for a night for my 60th birthday. We stayed in room 2 which had the most beautiful views . It was very comfortable and immaculately clean. The lady on reception was so warm and welcoming .
Breakfast was excellent and again the staff are a credit to your hotel .
We would definitely return.
