Fantastic owner. Beautiful b and b
We arrived at this lovely b and b. We were unable to get into the pub for tea and the pizza garden was unexpectedly closed. Tina the fabulous owner offered to cook us food, supplied us with crisps and cava. Such unexpected kindness. Her vegetarian breakfast was awesome too. Would highly recommend. Thanks

Comfortable with a good breakfast
The setting of this B&B is really nice - tranquil and beautiful countryside. The owners were very friendly and the accommodation is perfect, particularly for a small family. The bedroom is very generous in size, and there's even a private livingroom/dining area, a great space to relax - that's a real bonus when you are traveling with young kids. Lastly, we also really enjoyed the breakfast - very well cooked and presented and it tasted great. We would definitely visit again.

Holiday ruined
Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the cottage from Friday 12th July.
I'll start with the positives:
The village and cottage itself was absolutely beautiful. Clean, well presented and spacious. Colin also offered to get us a table at the local pub for the evening, though we were out on an activity all that afternoon and thought we would get food elsewhere, though the offer was appreciated.
Unfortunately they were the only positives from our stay, which we had planned would last two nights but we only ended up staying one night. After returning to the cottage at 20:40, we were very tired from driving and trekking so we decided to freshen up and then go to bed. We noticed that there were campers setting up in the garden area, and although the kids were very loud we assumed they were just excited and would settle down soon.
Unfortunately at around 21:30, loud music started blasting from the garden area right behind our cottage. It was incredibly loud and when my partner looked out of the window, the cottage owner had joined the campers and was drinking with them. The music did not cease and as we did not feel comfortable approaching a large group of people, we had to shut our window which helped a bit, though made the room very warm. We both had a restless night's sleep as the music continued to blare all throughout the night, and the owner appeared to not do anything about this and instead socialised with the campers.
I went to use the bathroom around 6am and there was the sound of music still thudding from somewhere, along with voices coming from the kitchen area. We had arranged with Colin that breakfast would be at 9am, so we went down on time and planned to complain about the music last night. Unfortunately Colin never arrived to serve us breakfast, leaving us sat awkwardly at the table hungry, tired and fed up. We decided that enough was enough, so after waiting for a while we went to pack our belongings. 20 minutes later we left, and Colin was still nowhere in sight. We assumed he was up all night drinking with the campers and was in the kitchen area at 6am when I went downstairs. I sent Colin an email while we struggled to find breakfast elsewhere before a planned activity, though as we had a long drive we didn't end up eating till after midday.
Colin left me a voicemail at midday apologising and offering a refund, which he gave me on the following Monday. He offered no explanation as to why the music was allowed to be so loud or why he slept through his alarm, though I think we knew the answer to that last one. All in all our peaceful weekend getaway was ruined and cut short and we were back home by Saturday evening.

Perfect place to stay (while walking Lady Anne's Way)
Beautiful characterful cottage, very spacious accommodation in a wonderful setting at the edge of the village. After 15 mile walk the excellent shower was a very welcome asset to the facilities. The traditional breakfast was delicious, but there was a wide selection of choice (more that any other B&B I've stayed in). Recommend the very friendly pub and food too!

Beautiful cottage away from the world
Stayed at the cottage recently. The weather was terrible but it didn't take away from the fact that the cottage is beautiful. The sound of a river outside was so relaxing, the room was clean and there was a separate room with sofas and a nice bathroom. The host left us to our own devices but was very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely visit again, what a wonderful place.
