We checked in late friday afternoon and the male and female on the check-in desk were excellent. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was perfect. We also prebooked breakfast, which again was excellent value, great quality and plentiful. The hotel is central for all of the nearby attractions. We will return here again and would highly recommend.

Great for families and visiting the attractions
POSITIVES
A fantastically convenient location for visiting the Wookey Hole attraction.
Great icecream parlour on site.
Some lovely places to sit outside.
Extremely pleasant and friendly staff.
Comfortable beds.
Clean rooms and communal areas.
Bar staff were happy to provide ice to take to the room.
There was a good choice of breakfast items and the breakfast staff were happy to provide a tray for us to take a picnic breakfast to our room so we could enjoy a quiet meal.
NEGATIVES
We found that the evening meals were very well presented visually BUT cooking wise were mediocre at best. The carbonara had a watery but lumpy sauce with undercooked bacon and the pasta was crunchy rather than al dente whereas the bacon in the burger was burnt to a crisp. Both meals were returned for a full refund. (Please Note:- The pizzas that they were serving looked excellent, so prahaps this is where their strengths lay.)
Noisy at times but this is a family hotel so to be expected.
SUMMARY
Good location and comfortable. But for a special quality and adult focused meal, walk across the road to the Wookey Inn.

Ok
Just came back from a two night stay. Which we had through a buy a gift. The hotel was comfortable, but we had room 2 , which was on the ground floor. Outside the bedroom window we had two air conditioning units. On the first night it was ok ,but the second night it kept us awake. The kitchen door was also by the window so I had to keep the curtains closed. The bathroom was a wet room so the smell was not good. The sink was too small . The food was ok . The staff very friendly. Would I stay again yes but in a different room .

A wookey experience.
Great bedroom very large with double and single beds. Good breakfast for £13.50 each Buffet style cooked food, pancakes,fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast, tea, coffee, juices. Had dinner twice in evenings. Burger and chips and fish and chips very good but had pasta once was very disappointing.Very small amount I honestly thought it was a starter!! Last breakfast was without granola, no hams or cheese and no yogurt must have been sold out.

Not great food, go to the pub over the road
Evening food pretty bad. Photo of spinach and ricotta tortellini, £13.50. I was advised that "9 is the portion size" from the kitchen, yikes. We went to the pub round the corner in the end for those who were still hungry. Also, the cocktails, whilst cheap, were not good, the same drinks came out completely different and definitely not what we intended on ordering (a pink long island iced tea??) - our group did have a good laugh about it though.
On the flipside: Staff were very lovely and the breakfast was good. Shout out to the pancake machine
