Excellent bar and restaurant

Visited the royal hotel on several occasions on our recent family trip. Although I can't speak for the accommodation, as we stayed in a cottage, the bar and restaurant are excellent. The quality of food , drinks and extremely friendly welcome were superb, if the accommodation is as good as everything else I would recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent first time at this hotel

We had lunch with 2 friends. Service excellent, the lady owner she was lovely chatty explained the menu. Food exceptional really good sized portions.
We would highly recommend.

Great value for money

Had an afternoon tea with prosecco.
Easily the best afternoon tea we have ever had.
Delicious food, and plenty of it. Freshly prepared, and nicely presented.
Very friendly service, and excellent value for money.
Would definitely recommend this venue.

Outstanding

We ate in the resteraunt which which exceeded expectation. The menu of local produce really impressed. The service was outstanding and attentive. Spotless resteraunt with plenty of space to relax and eat. The food we had was presented so well and everything on the plate was ckearly prepared and cooked by an exceptional chef. We all commented that given the quality the price was very generous. We would definately eat here again and I would recommend this resteraunt to anyone looking for quality. You will not be dissapointed. Thanks to the staff for making our visit to you such a positive experiance.

Outstanding

Proper little Jem this was from first call am to book thanks D . On arrival bar staff friendly and sorted booking in and parking,happy days. The room was spotless as was the bathroom and great nights sleep. The food was outstanding from starter to dessert 10/10 can’t stress what a great stay thanks the royal.
