Excellent place for a conference
On the day of the event, Jacek looked after us and was an absolute delight. Nothing was too much trouble, and he went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly.
A great experience all round – thank you to Carla, Jacek, and the team. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lea Marston Hotel for conferences and events.

Mixed Experience: Great Spa, but Disappointing Dining, Pool, and Golf
Our bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom was lovely, clean, and well-equipped. However, the bed was very hard and left me with a sore back, and the pillows were lumpy and desperately need updating. On the general facilities, the public toilets are in need of a major update, they felt dark, dingy, and the toilet paper dispensers were frustrating to use.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the spa treatments, my friend and I both had a wonderfully relaxing experience with great therapists. However, the pool area was disappointing. There were missing tiles on the pool floor that felt rough underfoot, and a real shortage of loungers. Once the few chairs were taken, there was nowhere to sit after using the sauna or steam room. Additionally, there were lots of children in the pool jumping, diving, and throwing toys on both Saturday and Sunday, making it difficult to relax (I was nearly hit in the head at one point).
Dinner was included as part of our package, but the atmosphere felt more like a cheap chain pub than a hotel restaurant. The team was friendly, our initial waiter kindly moved us out of the conservatory because it was overheated, and the two girls closing up at the end of the night were very professional and pleasant. However, service was extremely slow. We arrived for our 7:45 PM booking and didn't receive our mains until 9:30 PM, forcing us to rush through dessert before the bar closed. On a positive note, breakfast the next morning was great. We were down first, and everything was clean, fresh, and well-stocked with a nice variety of food.
Our husbands were not particularly impressed with the golf course. They noted that the turf had a lot of unkept divots and there were swarms of flies around the water features due to heavy algae in the ponds.
It was an okay stay overall with friendly staff and good spa treatments, but it was let down by poor sleep quality, slow dinner service, an unmanaged pool relaxation space, and a lacking golf course.

We're delighted that you and your friend had such a relaxing spa experience and that our therapists helped make your birthday celebration special. It's also lovely to hear that you found your room spacious and clean, appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of our team, and enjoyed the fresh breakfast selection.
We're sorry to learn that your comfort was affected by the bed and pillows, and that you found some of our public facilities in need of refurbishment. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the condition of the pool area, the availability of loungers, and the atmosphere around the pool. Your comments have been shared with the relevant managers so they can review these concerns.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in restaurant service during your evening meal. Waiting such a long time for your main course is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we understand how disappointing it must have been to have to rush your dessert. We are reviewing this with our Food & Beverage team to help improve both service times and the overall dining experience.
We're also sorry to hear that the golf course did not meet your husbands' expectations. Your comments regarding the course conditions have been passed to our Greenkeeping team for review.
We genuinely value your feedback, as it helps us identify where improvements are needed. Although we're disappointed to hear that you wouldn't currently choose us for a future spa and golf break, we do appreciate your balanced comments and your recognition of our friendly team and excellent spa therapists.

Great for Business Meetings
Carla (from a bookings perspective) and Jacek are always friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The food and drinks always go down very well too!
