Lovely Taunton break.
Just, superb gentle quality..
A feel of elegance with the furnishings and decor.
All facilities as listed- refreshed and serviced next morning.
Shall return, and recommend to
friends and family.

Perfect base to explore Taunton from
We stayed for 2 nights. The room was lovely and large and clean. Parking was easy in front of the house. It was a short safe walk into Taunton

Wonderful location!
We have just spent a lovely weekend in Taunton. Having booked late we are so pleased to have found such a great hotel - walking distance to restaurants & off-street parking a big bonus. Our room (room 1) was clean & comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. Richard kindly helped with restaurant recommendations which we took his advice on and thoroughly enjoyed….thank you! We will definitely be back & have recommended you to my family when they come down to visit my sister who lives 25mins outside Taunton.

Lovely stay at Beaufort Lodge!
I stayed at Beaufort Lodge in Taunton recently while attending a wedding nearby, and it was absolutely lovely from start to finish.
The house is beautiful, full of charm and character and in a great location that’s peaceful but still close to the town centre. My room was spotless, super cosy, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay, and It was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a weekend away. I’d happily stay here again!

Abandoned Guest House with homeless man living in the garden
Recently stayed for the second time at this property. However, the second time gave me a real chance to see what the establishment is really like as the first time, I arrived late and left early next day….
The owner is never around and again sends a message before arrival advising a family member has passed away. Clearly this is an auto message designed to MISLEAD guests upon check in as received exactly the same message on the first time I checked in..
Very weird set up indeed. Also there a scruffy homeless man living in the shed in the back garden who blasts the TV until early hours. It’s a glorified Doss house / half way house. Also smells of weed all the time, maybe growing in the basement in in the garden with the homeless man… in the rooms the towels were never changed and faeces stains on the bed sheets.

We are appalled by the completely false and defamatory nature of this review.
Every single claim made here is not only entirely fabricated but clearly written with malicious intent. There is no “homeless man” living on our property, there is no TV in any shed or garden (nor a shed for that matter that anyone could reside in), and the accusations of drug use and uncleanliness are outright lies. These are not the words of a genuine guest but someone attempting to deliberately mislead the public and damage our business.
This is a fake profile of an individual with a personal grievance, as no such incident has ever occurred.
Furthermore, the claim regarding a message about a bereavement being “automated” is particularly distasteful and offensive.
We maintain strict standards of cleanliness, security, and guest service—evident in the large volume of positive and verified reviews from real guests. All linen and towels are changed and professionally laundered, and any issues are addressed swiftly and respectfully.
We have reported this review to TripAdvisor for breaching its content guidelines, as it contains false statements, offensive accusations, and appears to be written with the intent to harm.
We encourage prospective guests to read the many genuine reviews from those who have actually stayed with us.
