Nice big room at the back of the hotel & loads of storage.
Glad we didn't have a sea view room as our room stayed cool without the sun on it all day, there was also a large fan.

Review

Nice location . Rooms ok. Restaurant food ok. Service poor . Waited for ages to get meals served and tables being wiped up and set for breakfast whilst we sat there waiting to be served . Not the best .

Amazing views with great facilities, outdoor pool, tennis courts, bar outside, close to coastal path, free parking, breakfast was great you get to pick off the menu as well as go up and help yourself to cereals, pastries or yoghurts. The room was huge with high ceilings. It had everything we needed and didn't want to leave

Thanks sincerely to managers Steven and Haidee, and to all the staff.

We used the Osborne for a reception after scattering our dear loved one's ashes in the sea at Meadfoot in July 2026. Haidee (events manager) and Steven (bar & restaurant manager) were so helpful, and did a wonderful job for us setting up the Crescent Suite beautifully for the occasion, and looking after us, and all our guests. I'd highly recommend this venue to others. Naomi, Torquay.

Rude

Were staying in the area and went into Reception to ask a couple of questions about their facilities we were told we would be able to use.
Was totally ignored by both the Receptionists.
One was killing time listening to a long winded waffle from a customer and in fact she kept on encouraging him to talk more and more awhile looking at me on and off. Whenever he stopped talking she would ask another question and he would repeat what he had already been talking about !
The other one, who was on a computer looked up, at least twice, saw me waiting and still did not bother to come over.
The Osborne may look impressive, but looks can be deceiving. Would not even contemplate staying here going by the experience I had.

Please kindly note, any rates inclusive of food, is to be taken in the Crescent Restaurant only. At check-in all guests must provide a physical valid credit or debit card for a pre-authorisation. Upon check-out if no balance is owed, the pre-authorisation is cancelled and depending on the card issuer the funds will go back as available in 5 to 10 banking days.
