Excellent Food and value

My fourth lunch at The Dewdrop in around two years. A friend and I had discovered it driving past (an idyllic looking coutry pub with an elegant terrace) and it hasn't disappointed. Yesterday I enjoyed two delicious starters rather than a main course. A lamb and coriander kofta on a small pillowy homemade flatbread and a fantastic rocket and feta salad, and a salad of several types of tomato, feta, a litle red onion and compressed watermelon. Both salads were dressed with a light dressing. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and professional, as I asked to pay when the food was served, I was able to enjoy a leisurely lunch but still be on my way to a meeting within an hour.

Friendly B&B. Recommended

We stayed 1 night at this lovely Inn in the Malverns. Right from the start the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a Sunday evening and the had a Special Father’s Day menu on but as we’d already had lunch with friends we didn’t want a large meal. They were more than happy to just serve us each a bowl of Soup with Sour dough bread, which was delicious. We’d had a long and tiring day so retired ear.y to a lovely comfortable room. Breakfast next day was included and the menu was extensive. Our poached eggs were perfect. Anyone looking for a lovely comfortable friendly B& B close to Worcester and the Malverns would go a long way to find better at the price.

An exceptional stay

From arrival we were impressed by the well maintained exterior and upon entry this continued inside with lovely decor and ornaments.
We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our room in an annex. The room was clean and we'll appointed.
The next day we were first in for breakfast which was incredible.
We also had an evening meal that night which was equally good.
Although busy the staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
The following day we had breakfast much later and wondered if the standard might decline slightly due to being much busier and later.
However the standards were exactly the same and once again we had a fabulous breakfast.
We can't recommend the Dewdrop highly enough.
Thank you to the staff and especially the young lady who showed us to our room, the manager with the beard and the lovely lady from Lithuania. Sorry not to get names but you all were so helpful.

Lovely Hotel, but issues with WiFi and mobile signal

Lovely well equipped room and fabulous breakfast. Great shower and comfortable bed. Very polite and courteous on site staff.
I would like to have given 5* but there is a problem with wifi provision, clearly longstanding and not addressed over several years (based on a look back), combined with being in a mobile signal dead spot leading to a feeling of isolation.
Turns out the hotel is in a very weak / dead spot for my mobile signal (02). Wouldn't normally be an issue, but the WiFi in our room was temperamental, weak and dropping in and out all evening. It was compounded unfortunately by a power cut later that night (affected the whole local area...not the hotel's fault) which eliminated all wifi signal, and the room landline. 10.30 at night, all on site staff had left and the emergency number quoted in the room was not attended and didn't respond to the message left reporting the 1 hr power cut. Overall picture was a feeling of being rather disconnected from the outside world (even taking the power cut out of the equation) and may not suit those needing reliable connectivity

Lovely place, dinner not so good!

Really lovely place. Clean and so quiet. Friendly staff and very warm welcome. My only let down was dinner. Quite expensive which wasn’t a problem but the meal was not very nice (unpleasant) so I only had 2-3 mouthfuls and the veg. I did mention it but not much at all was said. I would have at least expected even a lighter, cheaper dish or a refund. Other than that all was well.

Hi Rosina, I am sorry to read your comments about dinner as this doesn’t sound like the experience we would want any guest to leave with.
What has surprised us is that we can’t seem to place when this visit was, as we haven’t had any complaints or situations raised with management matching what you’ve described over the last few days.
