good value accomodation , located in a quiet area not far from center. staff friendly . relaxed and chilled atmosphere . room nothing fancy ,but clean and warm .

Top food

I haven't stayed here but I have had a delivery of breakfast three times from the establishment. Just a massive wow from me. The eggs are cooked to perfection, done so well and a lovely yolk that compliments. The sausage was done well, not over nor under cooked. Every experience of food was consistent. If I stayed here this would be something I would look forward to, bear in mind my food travelled 5 mins away and was still hot and amazing. I can't comment on residence but I can on the food,,,,, and I have worked in hotels, and eaten in many, so this breakfast for me is fantastic. A+++++

Disgusting

This place is an absolute disgusting place 3 years on and the reviews haven't changed since bare wires hanging out of light switches booking.com you should be ashamed putting you name to this dump its a dirty dinghy PUBLIC HOUSE that plays loud music nightly RESTAURANT has about 4 tables in the lounge area of the PUB breakfast consists of a dirty stinking fridge ( commercial ) on a dirty stinking staircase outside the bedroom door ,5 mins from town yeah if youve got a jet propelled hellecopter at your disposal all in all DONT DO IT !!

Enjoyed

Stayed in room 3,clean,shower good,bed comfortable,tea and coffee. Staff brilliant, will help with anything. Breakfast outstanding for the money. Chinese across the road, will let you take a carry out,and give you plates, very accommodating

Good room, great staff, cracking bar

Me and my partner have stayed here four times now. The room has been clean every time. It has all the necessities needed for an overnight stay. The room we were in this time was a little compact but we can’t complain as we only needed a place to sleep and shower. There was a fridge with milk and juice in, cereal, bread and a toaster outside the rooms for a breakfast on a Sunday when the cafe is closed. The pub downstairs is loud but I don’t know what people expect, it’s a pub. It’s a very good pub, good prices for drinks and not too far to walk to bed when you’ve had a few too many. The staff and the owner are very friendly. We will definitely be coming back next time and all the times after that when we stay in York.
