One of the absolute best
Beautiful villa in a stunning location. We did the wine tasting in the sister villa which was excellent. Felt very personal. Staff are fabulous. The whole place feels like you are staying with a wealthy Italian wine maker cousin. Absolutely beautiful. The villa we stayed in had huge rooms and was very comfortable. We were looked after by a couple who made it feel very special and it felt like we were being treated like VIPs. Gorgeous and generous breakfast. Can’t fault it. One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed and I’ve been all over the world. The only addition that would make it 6 star is an option of providing dinner as after wine tasting you can’t drive although we did order pizza delivery. Or rather a staff member sorted that for us. Exceptional. Highly recommend.

Could be Great … but isn’t.
Lovely vineyard setting, the main building was tastefully fitted, and looks the part Our room was clean and nicely appointed, the bed was big and comfy.
Breakfast was good.
But….
As you reach a metal driveway that goes into the accomodation not even a little sign to say you hear. Can’t recall ever staying in accommodation of even less quality than this where there was no fridge in the room for any drinks and it’s hot and summer. Yes we were offered water on arrival and a small bottle each in the room, but no way to keep it cold. What exacerbates this is that the town of Popoli is at least a 10 minute drive away for a cold drink… put fridges in the room there was plenty of space.
On arrival when we were met not a lot of information was offered, being on Vineyard we presumed there would be wine ?? We were only offered a wine tasting at 10am in the morning, asked about the afternoon and that was no. We had other plans for the morning so never tried their wine, unusual for vineyard accommodation.
No wine available in the accommodations. Roberto who was very pleasant was the only staff there, he did his best. No food available, which we knew beforehand but surely a winery place could offer a cheese platter with cold meat, no chef needed. The whole place lacked warmth that a good front person should bring A lot of time and effort has gone into developing this place, but they haven’t thought enough about the guests .
In conclusion we can say that the property itself is lovely, but they have forgotten about the guest experience.

Little piece of heaven in Popoli
What a find. Tucked between mountains this small boutique winery lexceeded our expectations.The views are incredible,the accommodation superb, very elegant farm style decor and the staff are exceptional. Beautiful winery with very good red and white wines . Visiting San Callisto in Popoli is an absolute must and only a 2 hour drive from Rome.

Ben oltre l'immaginabile
Purtroppo abbiamo pernottato in questo posto paradisiaco solo 3 notti, ma saremmo voluti restare molto di piú.
É una realtá un passo avanti a tutte quelle in cui sono stata in anni ed anni di viaggi. Il posto é incantevole, la struttura é accogliente piú di una casa, con uno stile ed un gusto impeccabili. La gentilezza di Valentina e di tutto lo staff é sbalorditiva, facendoci sentire coccolati ed a casa (aggiungerei anche "viziati" con tutti quei pensierini che trovavamo in camera ogni volta che rientravamo ). Ci torneremo sicuramente!!
