Great accommodation

Hotel well located in Alba. Careful staff, dependencies of extreme quality. Comfortable room with great bath. Breakfast very well served. External area in contact with nature. Easy checkin and checkout. Quiet and quiet.

Disappointing Price quality ratio for a 4 star

We stayed 3 nights in a superior room at a cost of €516 (about €170 per night with breakfast). For this amount, in a 4-star hotel, I expected more consistency between promises and services.
House
Located on the ground floor, overlooking the parking lot, little soundproofed and with little privacy. The air conditioning worked at times: one night it failed completely, forcing us to change rooms at 3am; the second night there were no rooms available and we stayed warm; only the third night we were given a room in the new part with working A/C.
Services
The pool and whirlpools shown in the photos did not work.

A mixed record

I was not impressed by this hotel. The Welcoming staff is very friendly and having free bikes at your disposal is nice. This allows you to reach the centre in 5 minutes. There is a large private car park at no extra charge within the hotel.
We were on the 2nd floor in classic room in the annex which does not have elevator. The room was very clean but the bathroom deserves a hell of a refreshment. The towels made available for the pool are in fact mini sleeveless bathrobes. Very strange.
The pool is small but well developed. On the other hand the rest of the garden is quite seedy with cinderblock walls next to the Jacuzzi which is not at all attractive. The terrace for breakfast is friendly and the buffet very basic.
The reception is not open H24 as advertised.
In conclusion I think this hotel must have had 4 stars one day but currently it is only worth 2/3 .

Not a 4 star hotel

We stayed two nights guests at this hotel just outside the center of Alba, strategically located and great for reaching all the attractions of the Langhe. Bike service to reach the center, small but well-kept garden, small but dirty pool, even the dirty jacuzzi. The rooms are spacious and equipped with outdoor space. Unfortunately the breakfast is very mediocre and limited, not from 4 star hotel... same thing for cleaning unfortunately not efficient. The price paid (by 4 star hotel) definitely does not reflect the services offered! I recommend taking better care of the outdoor area and breakfast to justify the hotel stars.

Alba Hotel

I was there for one night with my son, picking up white truffles. Nicco and his team are excellent. The rooms were clean and well appointed, but the highlights were a sublime Barbaresco shared with Nicco and my son when we got back after the restaurant. He helped out with a torn toll ticket - he volunteered to sort out and he did a great job. He's a kind and knowledgebale man. I would recommend anyone with a passing need to be in Alba to book here. I will definitely come back.
