Disappointment
We stayed at Hotiday Alghero Spiaggia, which is not actually a standalone hotel but operates within Hotel Soleado. This was not clearly communicated in advance.
Upon arrival, we were told we had a “standard room,” which does NOT include a sea view. The room was facing a side street with only about 10% partial sea visibility. The photos presented online are misleading, as you should not expect to receive a room with a sea view. We had already clearly stated during the booking process (in the notes) that we were requesting a sea view room, so this information should have been available to the staff. However, the receptionist questioned where we had written this and claimed she had no such request on record.
We specifically requested a sea view room in advance. First, we were told the hotel was fully booked. When we insisted (and even offered to pay extra), we were told we had to contact the Hotiday company and wait for their approval before any change could be made. This is extremely inconvenient and unprofessional.
That same evening, a large group of children (more than 15) were accommodated directly above our room. The noise was unbearable—running, banging, shouting—and continued well after 10:00 PM, when quiet hours should be respected. When we reported this to reception, the staff simply shrugged and told us to “be patient” as the children would go to sleep soon. The noise continued for at least another hour. This lack of action is unacceptable.
The room itself was clean, but many things were outdated. Electricity failed approximately three times during our 3-day stay, once for about an hour. Basic amenities were missing—there was no kettle or glasses in the room. We only received small plastic cups and a kettle after requesting them.
Breakfast was decent but very limited. The selection lacked variety, especially vegetables—there were only tomatoes, which were unripe and very hard.
Most importantly, we contacted Hotiday immediately after check-in with a formal complaint and request for a sea view room. It has now been over a week, and we have received no response at all. This level of customer service is extremely disappointing.
Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and we would not recommend this accommodation.

Esperienza positiva struttura pulita piscina piccola ma a 20 m hai il mare quindi piuche sufficiente come dimensioni. Colazione abbondante.

Udmærket hotel i Alghero ved stranden. En del aktivitet i området, men ikke forstyrret af det. God morgenmad. Forstår ikke hvordan hotellet kan være 4*. Det fremstod det ikke som. Ellers ok.
