To visit

We had a very nice stay at this hotel
Very retro and very welcoming
The owner speaks very good French
The bedding is of very good quality and the breakfasts very hearty

Charming tradition to be improved by adding air conditioning.

We liked the old-fashioned side with its charm and its beautiful furniture. In its original state. Antique furniture. Old walls.
Windows very sound-insulating because the hotel faces right onto the very busy street.
However, we regret the lack of an effective way to cool the ambient air other than a simple fan.
Upon arrival in our room, the thermometer read 33 degrees.
We tried to sleep with the windows open, which was difficult with the noise from the road.
We closed the windows at 6:30 AM when it was only 30 in the room, and we were able to sleep until 8:00 AM.
It is a real shame because this hotel has a lot of charm, but the lack of air conditioning makes the experience unpleasant in the summer.

Amazingly helpful.

We didn’t actually stay here but were struggling to get a taxi after the bus didn’t arrive.
The hotel wasn’t even open until the next day but the proprietor phoned a taxi for us and she let us sit inside by the fire while we waited.
I obviously can’t comment on the rooms but I’m sure they’re lovely as well as it was so nice inside the reception area and I just wanted to use this to say thank you.

Wonderful (unfortunately too short) stay on the top floor

We drove into Blevio and wanted to be the first to park the car near the hotel. This is possible in a public and free parking lot 30 meters from the hotel, which is perfect because it saves you walking a lot of stairs with a suitcase. If you walk along the road to the hotel with your shoulder close to the facades of the houses (no sidewalks and quite a lot of cars depending on the time of day) and you enter the hotel, it is initially a bit of a shock where you have ended up. . As if it needs to be renovated immediately - but after a few seconds you experience it completely differently - it has a soul and you feel it. Everything is right and you can taste the history. From the reception room and bar + separate breakfast room to the 3rd floor (via lovely lazy stairs) where we slept in a corner room with a great view of the lake on both sides, fantastic. There are guests who complain about a sink in the room and a shower room with toilet that is too small: they do not understand this type of accommodation and should definitely stay away. The view of the lake from the toilet is truly unique. The service from the owners for a delivery meal was perfect for us and the breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended. A walk along the lake (quite a few steps or the paved road to the football field or cemetery) is also nice.

Traffic noise, mold in shower, washbasin in the room : 100€ per night

I don't understand the good ratings for this hotel. Paying 97€ per night and having a 2sqm bathroom and still the washbasin in the room is a scam. No wonder the owner never posted any pictures of this old fashioned bathroom on websites, just the view or the bedroom. There was mold all around the shower seal. It's disgusting! Charging such a high price per night, this hotel could hire some plumber to change them once or twice a year. Moreover, the traffic in front of the hotel is constant and the soundproofing from the windows is far from sufficient. I had the feeling of being scammed because of the popularity of Como, hotel owners are just greedy and don't care about tourist satisfaction.
