A SHORT TRIP, BY FLIGHT, TO CATANIA!

We stayed at this hotel and were welcomed very well; as soon as we arrived, they offered us breakfast immediately, since we had arrived early in the morning from the Fontanarossa airport in Catania; the staff was kind and welcoming, and very available for any questions. We found it convenient because the hotel is located on the central street of the city, Via Etnea, where it is possible to admire Mount Etna in all its beauty. A few steps from the ALIBUS bus stop that takes you directly to the airport and to the scheduled buses that take you to the seaside resorts (we went to a equipped beach one day). Very clean and fragrant rooms, towel change even if not requested, availability to access the kitchen and have a coffee and more (if you want)... If we return to Catania, we will choose the San Demetrio hotel rooms!!!
P.S. We wanted to wish the owner Michelangelo well, who will be getting married soon (even if we don't know him in person). See you soon!

Comfort also lies in the temperature

Very short stay in Catania. August days, to say the least, you keep me in the room and I systematically find the air conditioner turned off! I would like to remind the managers that comfort also lies in the temperature, which must indeed be comfortable upon my return, especially on muggy days. Instead, because of stinginess, I find the room boiling hot! Increase the cost by one euro a day, no more is needed, or more if you want, but at least let me find the room cool. Never again!

Very positive experience

Clean and tidy room. Central location ideal for those coming to visit Catania; close to the shuttle stops for the airport and other destinations. In the evening you are in the center of the nightlife. The owner and staff are very kind and helpful.

Disappointment

Excellent location, breakfast (let's please), economy rooms (if you can call them rooms) dilapidated with prices a bit 'exaggerated (for the type), to get there a staircase hidden by a tent, old room in the attic with low roofs, small bathroom with a sink that you do not even find in a kindergarten (very small). Shall we add up? Economy rooms to avoid and do not trust the photos. Disappointed.

No guarantee of having a room upon arrival

Booked at this hotel on 25 March for arrival on 6 October, for a group of 9 people.
On October 2nd the hotel cancels my reservation due to works, and offers me another accommodation in a neighborhood that does not suit me. I find by myself another accommodation in the same area with a lot of difficulties, 4 days from departure.
So, on my next visit to Catania, I do not know where I will stay yet but certainly not at the San Demetrio Rooms!
