Gatteo a Mare

This year, I also stayed for a few days in this hotel.
I found it suitable for my needs; the food I chose the night before for lunch and dinner was prepared according to my expectations. The room and bed were comfortable, and the cleanliness was there; I did not find dust monsters as mentioned in some reviews.
The towels were clean and changed every day.
The young staff may lack experience, being young students, but I saw a willingness to work and commitment to any request.
I am also giving the deserved 5 stars this year!

Nightmare hotel

I don't think I have ever found such a terrible hotel, starting with the food, always the same things, everything always cold, the description on the site says "buffet" and then they are there behind the counter serving you, and if you ask for something more (since they hold back), they look at you strangely. Breakfast? Frozen croissants (only plain), juices without labels, and a coffee machine with accompanying rows of dirty cups because customers discard them and leave them there, obviously. Fruit does not exist, only plums, the ones in the jar. Lunches and dinners are always the same things on rotation, and the leftovers are the buffet appetizers for the evening or the next day (see piadinas/cannelloni/lasagna, etc.).
Cleanliness? I can only tell you that we "disinfected" the high chair my son ate in for 5 days in a row because they didn't even clean that after every meal (Absurd).
Rooms cleaned in 5 minutes and dirty sheets.
Friendly staff but truly inexperienced; they bring you food without taking away the dirty dishes, they don't know how to answer certain questions, and to get answers you have to go to the reception, where you have to be lucky to find someone.
The only positive notes are the central location, in the front row, and the nice, spacious pool but without lounge chairs, only chairs.
I never write negative reviews, I'm not that type, but in this case, it really seems necessary to do so, and there would be a thousand other things to say.
We booked last-minute without reading the reviews, and it was a big mistake.
This property could participate in the Hotel Impossible program and could reach the podium hands down.

Not entirely pleasant stay

I am sorry to leave this review, but as I told the girl at the reception, I was disappointed not by the maids, the food, or the cleaning, but my disappointment was that I spent two nights without sleeping with a 3-year-old child who was sweaty and agitated from the heat, sleeping only. 2 maximum 3 hours a night, a bath of sweat. And knowing the situation, they offered me a fan that was not even brought to me; luckily I only had those two nights at the hotel. They guarantee if I hadn't paid. The total in advance, I would have stayed. Something for this situation, and I will not be the only person to write this about this situation. Make sure to get air conditioning guaranteed because it is not working ... thanks, happy holidays to everyone

Just returned from a week at the property

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel with my children. Honestly, there are some shortcomings regarding cleanliness, but everything is compensated for by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff.

Not recommended

The place is not clean at all; when they clean the rooms, it takes them 3 seconds, and the food is all cold. The place is not at all a 3-star establishment.
