Home away from home

Location was perfect. The welcome was warm and the place felt homely.
When visiting again this would be my preferred place to stay. Pamela was a wonderful host

The b&b is in fantastic location. You step out into the heart of Florence. There is not great signage to get into the building but the hotel sent very good instructions on how to get in. There are 33 steep marble steps to go up to get to the elevator. Hard to do with luggage. There is a nice common area that has dishes you can use. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Their were problems with the shower head holder being broken so you couldn’t stand under the shower, also the foldable wall to keep water out didn’t work great so there was water on the floor all the time.
We had a large room with two single beds that looked out into a small courtyard that was just walls and cement. The room would have been great but there was a nasty sewer smell in the room. You got use to it and thought maybe it went away but every time you walked out of the room and walked back in it was there. Not sure if the other rooms smelled like that but the main common area didn’t smell.
The continental breakfast was just packaged pastries but they did have a fridge with some items in it, with a list of what they would charge you for if you consumed and what were included in rate.
We did have a good stay in Florence but I would probably not go back to this hotel because of the smell.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Location is AMAZING. The facility is old, and in turn smells old. The real problem was advertised AC and it is locked. You’re unable to turn on. When asking staff to turn it on, they don’t as they are always unavailable and limited hours. It literally ruined our trip. We were sweaty and miserable the entire time.

Never disappoints!

We had such a great stay at this B&B in Florence and would definitely come back (again!). This was actually our second time staying here, which says a lot in itself. The place is always super clean, cozy, and in a really convenient location—close to everything but still nice and quiet at night.
A special shoutout to our host, Simona, who is truly amazing. She’s so warm and welcoming, and really goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. It’s one of the main reasons we chose to come back—she makes you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive.
Overall, it just feels easy and comfortable staying here, which makes the whole Florence experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Be careful! We booked this property for its location which is great, however it’s above 3 restaurants so our room was very smelly, we could not open a window as the smell became worse. We had NO control over the air conditioning as the owner has to put it on, which she did but it was really hot and stuffy, and noisy. We stayed in May so if you were staying in summer it would be way worse. They may have a room that opens on to the Piazza and gets better reviews. If we had that room our experience may have been better.
