alternative experience
Special experience. The holiday home is in San Pio, 10 minutes from Fontecchio, in an ancient micro village still half uninhabited. The context is quite isolated from the town itself, so tranquility is assured, with some feeling of isolation. The house is clean and equipped, but know that the bed is on a mezzanine accessible with a fairly steep wooden staircase and the bathroom is below, and this could create some difficulties. The owner, Giorgio, very helpful both to facilitate logistical difficulties, both for advice and explanations. All in all positive experience, with some negligible naivety, like the soap dispenser in the empty bathroom. Recommended for alternatives

I've known Giorgio and Stefania for a long time. I came back after years.
Nice to meet you. Great welcome, the house "the daisies, improved, clean, nothing is missing, fresh and restful.
San Pio and nearby Fontecchio are places of rest of body and mind for those who want but also good food and walking. Recommended

Peace of mind
I highly recommend the apartment we stayed 4 days and 3 nights and I can say that we stayed a wonder the clean and well-equipped house of all place really impeccable I will be back soon. Also recommended for families

5 star experience
Very clean place, very kind owner and available for every request. Peace and tranquility for couples or a group of friends. Possibility of barbecue, sauna, and swimming pool. The feeling is that of having rented an entire village there. Advised

Real Italy
My favorite place in Italy so far. I was immediately surprised as we first drove through wrought iron gates, in a medieval stone village with hills and snowy mountains surrounding you. I was welcomed with local preserves, nuts in shells, tea.. kinds I've never tried before. The mini houses are homely and clean. I learnt how to garden and farm - it was refreshing, an alternative way to recharge. I had home cooked meals, pasta cooked with just the right firmness and olives was my favourite! I enjoyed the real Italian hospitality with appertifs, wine and filter coffee. It's an interesting place to explore without the crowdsa nd consumerism which I appreciated greatly. You can explore old towns, castles, hike, keep eating. Giorgio and Stefania are passionate and generous hosts, I thank them dearly. It's changed my outlook on what a holiday should be.

Looking at these place with a person coming from the other side of the world helps us to appreciate it even more and to keep working hard to build our dream. We learnt a lot from each other, which is the sense of a cultural exchange and of a very special holiday surrounded by nature and by lovely food and wine :)
