Astonishing kindness of the owners...
During my one month bicycling trip through Italy, I needed a place to rest for two nights.
As I didn't read their address correctly, I ended at Genazzano and couldn't find their place (which is at Santa Cristina). I was lost and extremely tired. I called them and they gave me the good direction. But.....the owner himself took his car to find me on a small country road (while I was desperate and still thinking I wasn't going the wrong way) !! I followed his car to their place. I was so astonished by so much kindness... I didn't ask for them to come and find me, the owner just did it on pure kindness... Really, thank you so much.
But let's talk about the place itself : just 360° of beautiful countryside view... Really magnificent. And the house is beautiful...
They have a first class restaurant. Waiters are perfects and the meals.... For only 25€, you have the whole menu prepared by one of a hell chef ! My best meal in my whole trip...
Last but (very) not least : when I called them to book, there was a small misunderstanding. They thought I was in a camper while I only had a small tent. On the phone, they told me it would be 15€ per night, which is already the normal price for a crappy camping in Italy. So it was fine for me. But when I checked out, the spouse (really sorry, I forgot your name...) changed the price from 15 to 5€ per night, because they thought I would have a camper! That is just PURE integrity...
There's so much I would like to write about this place. But don't bother reading me longer, just go there and you'll have a wonderful stay!

Quando abbiamo pensato al nostro progetto di Terra del Vento, abbiamo proprio pensato
di poter in questo modo incontrare gente come te: curiosa dei luoghi, delle persone, delle usanze degli altri. Perchè anche noi siamo così curiosi, e il bello di questo lavoro è di potersi scambiare contatti, talvolta anche nella difficoltà di lingue diverse.
Spero che il tuo viaggio prosegua bene e non stancarti di cercare: pur in mezzo a tante brutture l'italia è piena di gioielli, piccoli e grandi.

Avoid this SCANDALOUS place.
As mentioned by others previously, we stayed in 25 at the facility.
We had decided not to write a review, but since I read the response from the facility that says, 'It should also be noted that, on several occasions, some parents from the same group asked the staff to intervene directly to calm and call the children back, stating that they could not manage them at those moments.'
This matter does not represent an ABSOLUTE falsehood but is defamatory.
Therefore, I also find it appropriate to make the report.
The facility proved to be completely inadequate both in terms of cleanliness and the behavior of those at the reception.
The children did nothing more than a 4-year-old child would do; laughter and little screams were heard, typical of 4-year-olds.
The rudeness displayed by the management has exceeded all limits.
I invite those who took the liberty of writing that we asked them to call our children back to remove it before it goes too far.

Mid-August lunch
I went today, August 15, 2023, with my family. I'm sorry to say but lunch (we chose the fish menu) was terrible. Mediocre starter, first course (fisherman's gnocchi) inedible (tasteless sauce and "fish" definitely not fresh); second, a "steamed" sea bream that isn't even served in the hospital; "frying" (TWO squid rings and THREE squid - also not at all fresh); fruit (THREE slices of pineapple cut like slices of ham). A piece of advice: If by "fish menu" you mean a similar disgrace, it is better not to propose it at all. Ah, the price of 45 euros, given such mediocrity, is truly exaggerated! I, like many of those present today, will never return to eat here again.

I left feeling more tired than when I arrived.
Summary: Aircon was not cold, wifi was down, there was a loud pool party till 1.30am
Upon arriving, the place looked exactly like the pictures, modern, basic but clean. However, having come from two amazing agritursimos before this one, we had some basic expectations. Firstly, no one greeted us at the door. We felt like we were intruding into a family gathering where everyone just stops and stares at you awkwardly until someone gets a person who can speak english. The swimming pool was crowded with people that were not staying there. which means that it is not a private pool and we didnt even feel like going near the pool area. the whole property was so crowded!
Though everyone is nice, they failed to introduce their property and amenities. We had to ask for check out time, breakfast time, wifi password, etc. If you have ever been to an agriturismo, the first thing that happens is a warm welcome where the owners proudly introduces themselves, their property, the history of the place, their farm/produce and make you feel super comfortable. that was sorely lacking here.
In the room, there was only one towel and one bathrobe, but there are two people!? It is summer in Italy where temperatures are at 35 to 38 deg for most part of the day. the aircon was totally unable to cool the room down. they explained that they used a geothermal airconditioning system where the weather outside affects the power of the aircon? I'm really not sure.. but we had to drive out to the outlet to rest in a cafe with proper aircon. reaching back, the room was still not cooled down. Felt like 30 deg in there so we requested to change room which they kindly allowed but the aircon was working at the same level, non-existent.
We decided to just wait for nightfall and go out for dinner first. upon reaching back, to our utmost horror, there was a pool party! loud music and a rowdy crowd. This loud thumping music lasted till 1.30am. Remember that we had no cold air, so we had to open the windows. We could not sleep due to the loud music and talking and the insects that were flying in! (the previous 2 agriturismos had wire meshes on their windows to prevent insects) the thing is, the party people came from outside the agriturismo and there were a lot of them.
Thank you to the nice italian mama in the morning who apologised to us about the party but can I ask the owners why we were not told beforehand? not even in the day when we checked-in? Why do you let non-agriturismo tenants use the facilities and disturb the people actually paying for the room? Why did you not email us before we even arrived to let us know this was happening so that we could choose another hotel? Agriturismos are supposed to be peaceful and rejuvenating. This place was nothing but. My husband and I are leaving very tired after an extremely unrestful sleep and mosquitoes bites on our bodies.

Didn't meet my expectations
I was excited about the idea of staying in a "farm". But the experience felt short. It felt like the tv show "Hotel Impossible" fixed the place five years ago and now nobody cares. The interior of the house and the facilities were nice, but it was also abandoned and dusty. The staff don't talk to you about the amenities, restaurant hours, horses, etc. , nothing. We got there, the guy showed us two rooms for us to pick one (that was nice) and that was it. He only asked us if we were going to have dinner there. So, it's not a restaurant actually, no menu was offered. We got offered antipasto, we said yes, risotto came, without being ordered, and they asked about what pasta we wanted for second course, we didn't order anything else after the pasta. (My pasta amatreciana was salty, it has good taste, but I think they cooked it with too much salt)
The room was dusty, specially the curtains, no soap, not enough towels for 4 people. WIFi was good inside the rooms. There was a beehive in out door, so we couldn't enjoy the balcony, the sliding door opened but it was almost impossible to get it closed again. The pool was not clean. The horses were there but although I asked they didn't say if we could ride them. The bikes that they offered "free" were all rusty, not in working condition. The place have potential, it could be great, but it seems like the people running it doesn't know how to make their guests to feel comfortable. They didn't explain anything to us. Morning came, we went down to see about breakfast, but nothing was ready. They just asked if we wanted coffee. At that point, we just wanted to leave, my kids were hungry, so we checked out and left. I read good reviews about this place, I don't understand. Maybe we picked the wrong time?????

We will try to address every issue in order to prevent mistakes for the future.
We didn’t have the occasion to know you and your family's needs since you stay for less than 24 hours (if we are not wrong, You arrived in the late afternoon and left in the morning)!
We think that most of the problems you found were due to linguistic issue: that day the English speaker girl was not in the Agriturismo and we didn't understand what you asked, our fault.
This is the case for the horses, for example. They can certainly be ridden, although not in the late evening/night.
About the beehive: we are constantly fighting against them, since we are in a farm. Sometimes we don't see them on time but, if the customer advices us, it takes 10 minutes to safely eliminate them.
Dinner: we are a restaurant for sure, we do organize parties and even weddings! About salt in the Pasta we can say nothing, since it’s a personal taste. What we can say for sure is that you didn’t pay for the Risotto, it was a gift from the Chef who thought it was quite good for you to try it!
Breakfast: every was ready for you to have it in the kitchen (we don’t prepare a Buffet in a separate table when we have just one room but we serve our breakfast directly on guests’ table when they sit).
We called (and paid!) a waiter to serve you but you said “no” and left. Asking if you wanted a Coffee means “What would you like to drink, maybe a Coffee?” and not that you won’t have nothing to eat… Again we didn’t’ understand each other :(
Bedroom conditions: “dust and towels”: we are quite surprised since we put effort in cleaning but if it was so, we are sorry, it could be a mistake from our employee.
Let us explain again our sadness for how things went , You and your family are importan to us!
